Speaking to Brayden's mum, Clarko actually likes Brayden. He called him in the week he did his ACL to wish him well and to provide support.

We would have had a handful of names we wanted at the selection, it just so happens that Brayden was at the top of those available and so we called his name out.

There are too many variables in the 2nd round to pinpoint players weeks or days out.

I don’t think we thought he’d be realistically available.

Not suggesting you are, but anyone still complaining about trading our f2 now can STFU. I’d say with fair certainty that George is as talented as anyone we’d be getting with an early second next year.

He looks like a cracker. I saw in the hilights Clarko was congratulating a lot of the draftees not just our guys. I reckon they’d be thrilled that a bloke with his experience and success reaches out to congratulate them….

From a selfish point of view it might also lead to trade request down the line.

I'd say it's more of a sizeable panel dent rather than a scratch, but hopefully we can mend him and he'll be good to go
