Macintosh as close to like for like with broad as we have. We are running with only one true key defender in Astbury though and Balta for either Broad or Nankervis would not completely shock. I think they are looking to avoid picking the players who are struggling to comply with the team's system though, Pickett and Balta the two who have been mentioned regarding that.

What are the rumours of McIntosh wanting to move now?

News.com mentions it in the story about Pickett and Grigg.

I hope its not true. I know the Pickett story is a great thing, but would hate for it to be the reason we may lose a player.

I just don't get the decision not to play Ross and McIntosh from the VFL Grand Final. We had quite a few players who could have stepped up to replace Graham. Ross, McIntosh, Stack, and yes Pickett. I am sure the club woould have played them in hindsight.

I haven't seen any rumours about kmac leaving but I raised the point earlier with hill and Langdon leaving Freo he walks into that side and would revel charging up and down the wing at optus. I also believe the impact Conca has had on the young Freo group would be seen as nothing but a positive in getting another richmond man on board

Well, I'm not sure he's throwing a tantrum.

He might just think he's on the out now in regards to priority of choice. That's probably a fair call, but I'm not sure why the contract extention mid year from both parties if that's the case.

If his just looking for better opportunity then that’s ok, but if he’s a tanty because he didn’t get to play in a granny he can get stuffed.

Yeah, I really don't think it's a tanty.

He seemed very happy in the lead up to the GF, even when he knew he wasn't being selected. So, I'd say it's more of a realisation of perhaps how hard it will be to get a regular spot and I'm sure he's looking to prolong his career and setup his business in the future. He probably feels like younger players are at the same level, but will be chosen based on youth.

This is all based on him actually considering to move and not just journos at "work".

Given the was dropped for the last 6 games of the year, he might be feeling quite on the outer, and fair enough. I think comments about tantrums and acting like a child are inappropriate. His manager might have some good offers knocking at his door, especially from WA, a bit like Ellis, opportunity only knocks once in footy sometimes.

When he didn’t get picked after being rested I thought he would feel slighted. Finals are a funny beast and unless you have been dropped or not made it then you don’t understand. If you didn’t crack it you would have no blood in your veins. It is easy to judge from your armchair. Don’t forget he missed out on a granny not once but twice. Add to the mix he is out of favour then we have a player looking elsewhere.
This may not even be about cracking it and simply exploring further opportunities. The man can see the writing on the wall...this is an elite team which he will find hard to get back into. Tigers have talent to burn at the moment.
Hoping he stays but would not be at all surprised if he leaves.
All speculation right now so ease up on bagging him.

All he has to do is get back in form and will be back in .
