Maybe you have mis interrupted what these people meant with these commentsI got that from the belief that everyone seems to have around Kmac setting standards...
That the kids will learn of him around standards etc...
1 - If you don't think all our senior players have high training standards, that would be a big worry
2 - If these new kids aren't driven enough to train their guts out already, we drafted the wrong kids
3 - If a bloke who had to wait until after the draft to see if he retained a spot is setting standards, we might as well pack up
Now if people just admitted, I think he's a ripper bloke, just happy for him to be around the club, I wouldn't argue with them, I might disagree, but that's just personal opinion. But people trying to say that Kmac is bringing anything to the club but pure depth player with a lot of experience, then they are on the wrong track.
Kmac sets the standard both on the training track and work ethic
There is alot the kids can learn from him in these area's of being a pro footballer and the dedication required to make it at the level. He has never been the most talented but always been the player to sacrifice his game for the benefit of team structure and balance.
Currently has Ross & HRS before him for his wing role and hopefully other kids move past him also but if there are injuries then he fills a need and maintains standards and if not then he plays VFL and guides the kids to become better AFL players.
It will be his last season and he knows this and is a team man that will always put the team first
