This is true... they have to accept some responsibility for their complicity in the program. They signed the consent forms FFS.Ryder in the Age saying players at * need to take some of the blame for being banned. Refreshing change from the crap the club has been sprouting since day one.
Who did so with the Boards blessing and full knowledge. No rogue element? Hird was the rogue.
There was no rogue element at Essendon*. Hird oversaw the drug program. Until he is given a significant ban this saga will not be over.

Essendon should not receive a high draft pick if they expectedly finish near the bottom of the ladder because that would be effectively rewarding them for a result that came from their supplements regime punishment, says Justin Quill.
The sports lawyer is adamant that it would not be fair to the competition if the Bombers had the number on pick in the draft before welcoming back 12 senior players from their drugs bans.
“By punishing them they’re going to end up with a reward, with the number one or very high draft pick,” said Quill on SEN radio.
“The whole purpose of the draft is to keep the competition even – the team that Essendon are putting out on the park in 2016 is not the team that will be on the park in 2017.
Dons can’t be rewarded: Justin Quill
Someone making sense.
I can't understand people not getting this.............including the AFL. It's simply wrong, when you think about it.
It won't change of course, but it should be debated.
