Fair assessment, his top end speed is elite but doesn't hit top speed as fast as someone like Bolton, but who does? Very few can do that.
He’s slow off the mark and that’s important in football bc it’s often short bursts that are needed. Running 15km means zero if you’re not getting the ball. He has little hurt factor bc he’s one paced.

I thought Hopper and Tarranto into the club and a fit Dusty might squeeze JG out of the best 22. I thought Sonsie or Cumberland would be in the 22, Not so.
According to AFL tracker. JGTI actually topped the distance run. 15.5kms. He relegated KMac to bronze medal.
JGTI was actually 3rd fastest on the ground. 31.3km.

Importantly played a good game.

I could live without Kmac or JGTI but knowing RFC they will be with us again.

Of the 4 retirements only 2 are in the 22 and Dow, Biggie delisted. Mansell and Hugo probably go around again. Plus the class of 21, Gibcus, Sonsie, Bank, Clarke and Brown all look promising.

At least we are winning.

JGTI is able to get from contest to contest, which allows outnumbers and free men. If he had Shai's acceleration he would be incredible. He doesn't so we just have to accept that he is able to impact the game by providing that extra man over and over again - both offensively and defensively. That causes huge problems for the other team. Yes he is a bit patchy at times. But he is always worth having in the team because he makes the whole better.

Scored or assisted 4 of our 12 goals and was involved in a game high 10 of our 26 scores in a 1 point game does not equal zero hurt factor TI, where are you getting that shit from?

You are suffering from JGTItus. ;)

His perceived lack of pace is simply wrong, he isnt Bolton explosive, but he isnt slow either.

Which is why he plays well when we do. When we are getting our hands on the ball he is the constant linking player due to his gut running. Very few can keep up with him. When we are not getting first hands he is less effective because he doesn't often win contested ball and often spends a lot of the game chasing and hassling. Was more contested on the weekend which was good. He's running himself into form, along with a few others, so that is a good sign.

The "Jack Graham isn't actually slow" crowd are the footy equivalent of flat earthers.:$

So Balta got 4 from one coach and none from the other???

Yes that must be correct.

From watching at the ground I thought Sicily was clear BOG, and Newcombe, Worpel and Balta were the other obviously prominent players. But i think nearly all our players played quite well without too many clear standouts, because the expected scoring was like a 6 goal win to Richmond. Ross must have been very close to sneaking in for a vote and it is a slight concern he didn't poll, it makes you wonder if there is some deficit the coaches can see that we are missing.

JGTI second BOG according to the cockroaches with 6 votes. Sicily got 10.

Wow that surprises me , I accept he played a pretty fair game , in fact he may soon be tagged graham wood , every time he’s about to be dropped he plays well 😆However I would have had Dan riioli or Baker in the votes for their huge 4q when the game was there to be won

JGTI is a fxxking embarrassment 17 pos with 8 clangers 52DE. The useless fat spud was meant to be an inside mid and he had 14 uc possessions and still messed 8 of them up. Sick of seeing this plodder on our list as it reminds me of the mid 90's the crap that ran out for us.

Got flamed for saying Ross would be a better long term player than Graham, but it's becoming more and more evident as each week passes. Graham's lack of leg speed and polish hurt in games like today where teams get a run on with fast ball movement.

Graham may be a gut runner, but there is no point being a midfielder if he is not quick enough to get from contest to contest to contest in time. He is often found flatfooted as well, allowing his man to peel off.

Needs to be tried as a shutdown mid, as he is offering us nothing on a consistent basis with our full strength midfield in.

Been a Graham fan but that was a putrid game but wasn't alone Cotch Jack Meatball has been nonexistent last month or two defensively haven't seen so many beaten in one game. How we were in the game for so long and for 2 and a half quarters looked like champions is beyond me. Balta move WTF.
