Showed some real courage today that it was like Glenn play again at points.

He definitely won’t die wondering and is willing to put the work in, absolutely should keep playing and giving it socks in defence, took some great marks, good chases and pressure.

Strip LMac of that 11 immediately.
The only danger with this kid is putting too much work in. His OP early this year was almost certainly the result of too much unsanctioned off-season running.

Said it time and time again, Jackson is a best 22 role player.

And the thing is, whoile he's probably in the bottom 4 of the 22 on ability and athletic gifts, he can be a far better player than ,most of the bottom 4 players in the average team.

Well really, if you took away his courage, Glenn wasn't exactly over-endowed with pure football skills. He was a good footballer but only great and a legend because of his commitment to every contest.

I’d trust Glenn with ball in hand over any of our current back six

So many of our young guns have gone down, I’d be questioning this.

Questioning in what way? That he did far too much extra w3ork over pre-season isn't in dispute.

I was worried for him earlier in the year as it looked like he lacked that extra yard of pace and athleticism needed to clamp down on small forwards.

In hindsight, OP certainly robbed him a bit, but he’s been playing well for over a month now. Credit to him.

One player going down with OP in afl circles is bad luck, four young midfield guns in the space of 18 months is something from the early 2000.

Either these kids don’t trust the programme set out and doing their uneducated own thing, which is highly posible or they’ve been given a programme which they ain’t capable of completing and causing overuse.

Jackson was doing crazy stuff over the summer

No saints player got an easy win against him. Any wins they hard to beat him properly.

All of McKay, Ziebell, McDonald, Corr and the midfield group have given up easy wins this year.

Archers name is pencilled in for the rest of the season.

And then get him Liam Bakers phone number and see if Baker would be happy to provide some tips on the next step, because he is the role model Jackson should base expanding his game on.

Like who?

LDU did a hammy in a full stretch chase. Tom has a knee injury. Wardlaw came in with his issue. Comben broke his leg.

It's such a tired meme on this site that our conditioning team is responsible for injuries.

??
OP was pretty much dead and buried injury in afl circles, as the recovery is two years. We seem to have at least one kid go down it a year.

It's just that the term is used less often now. It's now more commonly labelled an adductor injury.

Both Joe Daniher and Elliot Yeo have been out with "OP" since LDU had and recovered from it.

Geez Archer Senior never wanted on the skills front imo.

His insane ferocity at the contest probably overshadowed what was a pretty talented player.

He was easily one of Pagan's better kicks and he was more than above average overhead.

He was pretty quick over 5 to 10 meters , particularly in his early years.

Adductor injury is a general term, OP is fairly specific, talking about overuse.

Fair enough, but the point made earlier - this current one is on Jacko due to pushing himself too hard - still stands. Blaming the new conditioning team for the sins of previous conditioning teams is inappropriate.

Fair enough,
Certainly not blaming, just questioning, young kids need to be saved from themselves as well, if he was doing a bunch unsanctioned running, you would’ve hoped one of the guys a couple of years older would’ve pulled him up on it.
