Kind of hoped we’d go with a different type at this pick (didn’t particularly want another small mid) but I can see why Charlie is appealing. Tough, courageous and another with excellent leadership credentials.

On field (other than his height) he doesn’t really do much wrong. Accumulates, tackles, good two way runner and high footy IQ. Will be very interesting to see how he progresses

Lazzaroo! The little vic bolter hidden under the veil of Covid-19.
Sometimes you just get a feeling about a kid based on not much at all but I’m on board.

He had an exceptional performance in a pre-COVID u18 game and then was bog by a mile in a some school boys after-COVID game. Then he tests extremely well at the combine. These are all very interesting little anecdotes.

Sometimes all it takes is one exceptional quality to elevate yourself above the rest.

Doesn’t look or play super small in his highlights, not sure his height is an issue.
