From mock drafts seems to be a productive player but needs to improve endurance to play more midfield. I'm over our weird selections, and I welcome him to Tigerland. Seems eerily similar to McDonald where he's got the talent but needs to improve endurance although he's a bit further ahead in development.

There is a reason players slip TiggerMan. We have no idea of the happenings of these kids and no idea of what our recruiters are looking for.

Could have been simply that McDonough has the extra string to his bow. Can play as a lead up forward and inside mid. As far as I know, Membrey is only a lead up forward, and not that tall himself either.

Bit of a reach for this one I think. The so called experts here on big footy are way off on this draft. Surprises being pulled, left right and centre!

Well this could be a good thing. I think it means that our recruiters are not just reading popular opinion in the media and making there decision based on the media or big footy phantom drafts. They are casting the net wide in trying to find talent.

This kid will become a F**** GUN - Make no mistake, I am extremely confident in this selection
Think about it this way the main thing that all small gun fowards need is to be Ugly,Dork looking,Wierd character

Think
Eddie Betts
Stephen Milne
Brett Ebert
If anyone knows anything about GUNS it would have to be you, so I'll take your word for it! :D

Happy with this pick too, lets hope we can develop him into a six-shooter

It's funny that the highlights package of our last pick impressed me the most and our first pick impressed me the least. That's the thing about highlights packages I guess.

Maybe they need to balance it out with a bloopers package?

Good luck to all our picks. Their timing on joining the RFC is impeccable if you know what I mean... ;)

Well if he translates his u18 champs form to AFL level then I say "yes".
And then some. 15 goals in 3 games was ridiculous. Stepped into Menzel's shoes and was like nothing changed.

Welcome Matt.

I think Vlastuin will definitely line up round 1 and wouldn't fall off my seat if this kid was named too. Good on the lead, strong mark, good at ground level.

Im more excited about MM than l am about the other three. Seriously this bloke has swagger. I've only seen the reels that everyone else has seen, but the minute l saw him, he reminded me of a young D. Jarman. I dont know if it was the Adelaide connection, or more the heavy legged but super intelligent forward that seems to know how to make the most of things.

McBean and the other bloke... fair enough, but l like McDonough. BOOM! :thumbsu:

Welcome to Tigerland Matt!
It's a really small world when you realise that Matthew's younger brother played junior footy with my lad several years ago.
I recall him being a little gun, so obviously it runs in the family!

Made the draft for me. Happy we got him. The talk about being Paul Chapman like is pretty spot on. If developed right, will be that type of player.

Someone else said it, he has swagger. Love guys who have that attitude and back it up.

Big pre season and will play senior footy.

A forward with an elite kick on the left and right, can kick 50m, strong mark, good below his knees, can shrug a tackle will be able to rotate through the middle.............goodbye Nahas

Footskills in the highlights were a standout. Really excited about this kid. Looks like the perfect high half forward Paul chapman type. Love his build too. Massive legs. Will not get knocked off the ball. Pair him up with kingy to learn the grunt work from - the kid already has the silk.

These types of players are invaluable. They open games up when it's on the line, change the pattern of play and stop opposition thrusts with their grunt. We've been crying out for more of these types (like Chapman, Jordan Lewis, Michael Voss, Stevie J) with their tree-trunk legs and solid core for years. Will be a great pick-up.

Finished runner-up on Big brother and was in Neighbours.
How's he going to juggle playing AFL and being on Winners and Losers?
