Now i don't like to say i told you say but here i am, I TOLD YOU SO. We introduced an vfl player in the worst game possible against the strongest defense on the toughest ground. Seller might be lost and won't play again due to the psychological damage from this game. This is akin to getting knocked out by a bouncer first ball in test cricket.

I get the concern, but we needed to try something up forward.

Larkey had zero possessions in his first game.

Sellers will be fine. Hope Clarkson plays him again next week to show the faith. Nothing to lose; as you’ve pointed out, today was a tough one to debut as a forward. Next week will tell us more - including about his mental resilience , which- let’s face it - we need players to demonstrate in spades right now.

I was at the game - watched him as much as possible. They played him deep forward all game - could've moved him up to CHF for a while. Overall, the ball didn't get near him for long periods. When it did, his leads were constantly ignored or the ball kicked on top of his head. It was always going to be a tough debut down here.

I was wondering if he'd been stuck in the square all day. Setting him up for failure there!

Always thrown to the wolves - Geelongs team defence is awesome, and the 1 on 1 match ups didn’t favour Sellers.

Might have got less stats but no less influential than CCJ was when in the side.

Larkey didn’t have a great debut either. In fact, outside of some flankers and mids, most of our recent ones don’t.
