Cooper projects as another Mahoney type - what makes you think Cooper will have more to offer?hopefully cooper becomes that goal kicking small forward that we lack

Not reallyCooper projects as another Mahoney type - what makes you think Cooper will have more to offer?
There's a whole thread on it...Are you sure that there has been a split up? If you are not sure, then that would be an unsubstantiated rumour and perhaps not something we want to be engaging in.

Cooper sounds to me like a Mahony/McMillan/Bailey Scott hybrid, tbh.Cooper projects as another Mahoney type - what makes you think Cooper will have more to offer?

Cooper has always been a freak junior footballer while just getting by on natural talent alone. If his attitude changes towards training and he makes some sacrifices all AFL players need to he will be a very good player, possibly a star. He’s one of them players that when his mind is switched on and he decideds to give 100% he’s a star that does things other kids his age can’t. Only time will tell but from what I’ve seen right through his junior career at Yarrambat and in rep footy he’s as talented as anyone out there his age he just needs to commit himself to be the best he can.

You'd think having Boomer as his dad would show him the mindset needed at thr top level. Obviously maturity etc comes into it because how many kids u18 already have a professional mindset. If this is accurate, then his success will come down to whether his mindset is similar to his dad or his uncle.

So far Coopers attitude has definitely been more like Shane’s than his dad but he’s still young and if the penny drops when he’s in a AFL environment Cooper could be anything. Shane was a freak footballer who never consistently showed just how good he could’ve been at the highest level but if you speak to anyone including Boomer they all agree Shane probably had more natural freakish talent than Brent but nowhere near the dedication and commitment that Boomer had on and off the field. Hopefully Cooper has the best traits of both his dad and uncle eventually for Norths sake. It’s unfortunate that Shane didn’t get to 100 games with the Kangas as he also has 3 young boys who look like being pretty talented footballer also.More like the uncle then the Dad.
