Extenuating circumstances Snake. Have to believe me on this one. Nothing to do with the club. Outside.

I'm aware of that, and it's disgraceful that the club let it affect their decision with Cam.

Sons of AFL greats selected for Victorian schoolboys team

LEADER MAY 22, 2019

And Harvey is puffing with parental pride after his 14-year-old son Cooper was selected in the Victorian 15 years and under schoolboys.
Taller than his dad — “thankfully,’’ Harvey said with a laugh — Cooper plays with Yarrambat juniors and is attending Parade College in Bundoora.
“He’s a good-sized midfielder — he’s going to be a lot bigger than me — and I think he might also see himself as a bit of a forward,’’ Harvey said.

“He was rapt to get in, and we as a family were too.
“He’s 14 years old so he doesn’t get happy about too many things happening in life at the minute, like every other 14-year-old boy. But when I got home from work on Monday I could see the excitement on his face.
“He was thrilled, really, really happy, which is great. It’s a good reward for effort because he’s been working pretty hard on his footy in the last couple of years.’’
Flashback: Cooper Harvey at the age of one with his dad.
It was a long selection process, with almost 300 boys trying out.
Still wearing the No. 29, AFL games record-holder Harvey, 40, is playing coach for North Heidelberg in the Northern league this year.
“But to be honest my real kick in life is watching my children go about their sport,’’ he said.
“Cooper and my youngest boy play their footy and my daughter does dancing and plays netball. It’s great to go and watch them every weekend and even get to training.’’

Will Ashcroft, the son of former Brisbane premiership star Marcus, has also made the Victorian team, which will travel to Tasmania for the national championships from July 27 to August 3.
Will was a prominent under-age player in Queensland and joined St Kilda City when the family relocated to Victoria this year.
Harry Flynn’s selection made it a Victorian double for the Aquinas College student. Earlier in the year he played for the Vic Metro Under 15 cricket team at the nationals.
Harry is the son of Victorian Premier Cricket stalwart Sean.
