McQualter could not get Richmond playing finals because he played favourites and would not pick the team on form.
Will he have the courage to finally pick a team on form or fall back to favourites?
I do not understand the joy some people seem to feel that Cumberland failed just so that they can say “I told you so”. His failure doesn’t make me feel happy and won’t make my non existent AFL football career any better.

I feel the same mate. Only player we have drafted recently other than Stack that showed he could be an x factor player.
That we have not been able to have them both realising that potential almost cancels out the benefit of two of those top 20 picks that we have.
I dont know if im ready to watch guys like Sonsie take half their career to become just ordinary players in a shit team.

Not any more...or at least not as much. It's reported she's been helping them in Sydney though. Must have done one hell of a job
(Note: I am actually a huge supporter of the present moment stuff...done in the right environment...and reckon it played a big part in our 3 prem's...and it seems to me we have drifted from that path now...which is a shame)

Will be an interesting watch. If he does improve on anything Richmond could get out of him, will be another confirmation for me that we have not been developing our players well for some time. Perhaps not since Fly and Leppa left, while Dimma was dabbling in other priorities.
WHEN he doesn't get picked by anyone it'll be confirmation he wasn't up to it. I saw Dimma debut him. Debut in Lynch & Dusty's absence. As sub.

Just in case you misunderstood what I said.
I didn't say that anyone who has departed Richmond has shown anything.
Although Markov and Stengle have played in premierships since 2020...but I wasn't thinking of them either.
What I am saying is that imo, since that great year of 2017 when so many players developed so quickly out of almost nowhere, the rate seemed to slow, which could just have been because the first team was so strong. But surprisingly since 2020 there's been almost nothing.
It could mean nothing. I've not tried to apply any science to it. It's just a feeling I have. My opinion. Just as others will have theirs.
Oh...and just in case it's also said that I believe we are not recruiting well...as happened last time I made this statement...I am not saying that either. It may well be the case. But I've got even less chance of having an accurate opinion on that one. I'll leave that to others.

He’s entered the draft so it might not yet be time called.
Though I highly doubt he gets selected.
Apparently the Lions offered him a VFL spot and he told them of it doesn’t include being listed he’s not interested. So unless someone does draft him he’ll be back on the Sunny Coast
No way Dimma would recruit him , not sure the reigning premier would see a need so try again
