If Finbarr can train like Darling, he'll be a serious player

Club is quietly confident they've found one here. Not just a contributor either, but a player, who might just have a long-term future at the top level.
Just needs to refine his game sense when playing forward and needs to add a few kg's so he can compete with the big boys.
Anybody who can fly for a contested grab like he can has some attributes to work withClub is quietly confident they've found one here. Not just a contributor either, but a player, who might just have a long-term future at the top level.

Ben Brown vibes about him. Mature age, characteristics that give him cult hero potential, if he can end up actually being a gun forward like Brown was at his peak, will be a massive win. Not going to get excited until he actually plays a game though.Club is quietly confident they've found one here. My kingdom for another 60’goal a year forward. This guy has some mongrel in him unlike brown
BBB was a competitor - not sure what more you'd want. This guy has some mongrel in him unlike brown
I think like Petrie he could play a swingman role. The smart forwards would out craft him though.Serious question for the serious VFL watchers.
Could this guy be the answer to our long term CHB hole and allow Chom to play CHF full time?
All of his attributes sound like he could play an intercepting role like Chom does currently as they both have athleticism and strong hands (and some campaigner by the sounds of it).
The way he flew for and clunked his contested marks up forward I think he's more suited to staying forward.Serious question for the serious VFL watchers.

Brown ended up seriously contending for the Coleman three years running. If Maley can play half a season in the 1s in 2025/26 that will be a huge win.Ben Brown vibes about him. I'm a Chom forward guy but based on this blokes attributes I think safer with him forward than back. Chom has pretty clean disposal, you can't afford poor kicks in the backline anymore. As we've seen at Brisbane, Carlton and other teams a FF that sprays the odd one from multiple chances isn't necessarily a deal breaker.I think like Petrie he could play a swingman role. Some people’s opinions have been clouded by the vegan, opinionated partner and not saluting a DV perpetrator thing.BBB was a competitor - not sure what more you'd want.
Dish wasnt a terribly reliable set shot either but some of his snaps were rippers like the frank the tank goal.I think like Petrie he could play a swingman role. The smart forwards would out craft him though.
And at least as efficient as souva. Some people’s opinions have been clouded by the vegan, opinionated partner and not saluting a DV perpetrator thing.
BBB was a gun - memorable, won games off his own boot and just an all round great person.
During his time, he was also the only player who gave the Club some profile after having the colour coached out of us. He kept the lights on for awhile. Some people’s opinions have been clouded by the vegan, opinionated partner and not saluting a DV perpetrator thing.

Should be shadowing Jack Darling every step of the upcoming pre season.
Agree for the most part. However, instead of emulating him when flying for marks, he should be using him as a stepladderShould be shadowing Jack Darling every step of the upcoming pre season.
Dish was a rubbish set shot and a flat track bully. Far too often went missing against the better defendersDish wasnt a terribly reliable set shot either but some of his snaps were rippers like the frank the tank goal.
