Suddenly screams intercept defender to me.

Don’t know how you can write this guy off as ‘not AFL standard’ without seeing him play AFL?

Has size and athleticism and can seriously clunk the ball. He’s already 50% there.

His b&f finish and time trial just add fuel to the optimism.
How many here thought Larkey wouldn't make it after his first game?

197cm. Very fit and agile. Aggressive and elite mark. Disposal the weak suit but should reach adequate AFL level.

It's interesting because there are quite a few draft experts who have us reaching at pick 2 for a bloke who is very fit and agile, an elite mark, but with disposal as his weak suit. I'm not suggesting Finnbar is the equal of Tauru but it's interesting nonetheless.

Great call

We have to release this guy into the 1s next year. Looks like he's had a massive off-season. Even if he gets the promotion and doesn't fill up the stat sheet right away (hopefully more than 3 disposals in 2 games though) but just goes in as that chaos ball forward who crashes packs... will help Souva immensely either way. Literally a faster and more agile Charlie Comben and Chom was great in the small time he played up forward imo

I haven't seen Moose play, but is he seriously faster than Chom? That's pretty exciting. Chom pretty quick IMO

He’s the most uncomfortably looking comfortable player you will see. Particularly when he plays ruck. Has nonissue finding the footy, or disposing of it well.

Yet it all looks like he’s trying to work out what to do.

He’s particularly effective around stoppage like goldy was. An extra mid.

If he's not faster he's very close to him. he is a smooth mover as well imo which is insane for a 197cm guy. And his leap we all know about. Really one of the most exciting players to watch we have on our list (i really hope i wont regret saying this in a year or two)

Watched him every game this year. I don't think he is quicker than Chom in terms of straight line speed, but I think his ground level stuff is better and that ground level agility can give the perception of Finbarr being quicker (see Williamstown highlights below, where Finbarr mostly rucked).

Chom has Finn for aggression, but Finbar is a more consistent contested mark.

A big fan of both.
