Is Murphy a monty for Leeds? Considering Eng aren't going to win this series by producing a raging turner, and their spinning stocks are pretty bare.....why not replace Hazlewood with Boland and Lyon with Neser?

Yeah 5 quicks isn't the norm, but if Eng truly want to get back into this series, surely it's green tops that will get it done. Aust can squeeze out a few overs out of Head, Smith and Labs for a change up....but if the weather is predicted to be wet in Leeds, how many overs is Murphy actually going to bowl? Neser is a better bat, Aust would bat right down to 10....and surely having Neser and Boland on a green top is better then young Murphy, who Eng will definitely target?

We won’t go into a test without a spinner. Overrates are an issue first and foremost. There’s an old saying “if it seams it spins”.

I reckon they will bring in a faster bowler which will contradict the road pitch bazball philosophy.
Poms in a conundrum right now.

Our batting leneup has not fired up on all cylinders yet.

Labs and Green due big innings.

A ton from Carey would be nice.

They almost have to play Wood now and they better hope like anything he doesn’t break down. Meanwhile we can bat slow and we have no reason to be aggressive just bat the time and get them bowling 100 plus overs

Lol yes it’s such a shame that we appealed for a stumping. Next time we’ll as the batsman whether he’d like to be stumped next time

Of course it was a fully legal act. But it was a poor act that took advantage of the silly way cricket rules are constructed and went against conventions of behaviour. Just like the underarm ball.

Cricket needs to re-write the rules to dispense with any controversy over incidents like this. But until that happens, it was a sh*t thing to do.

After we were actual cheating dogs with sandpaper, and remain lying cheating dogs on top of that cough 'bowlers were unaware' cough we shouldn't have pulled a stunt like this.

You English?

And if Bairstow had been good enough to hit the stumps when he saw Warner or Labs out of their creases?

Why the need to re-write the rules?
The rules are crystal.

seems like the Poms reaction has unsettled quite a few Aussie fans judging by the rampant whataboutism. let’s hope it doesn’t have the same effect on the players.
it was out, Australia won, time to move on to the next cricket contest in a few days.

Murph and Boland in for Lyon and Haze, continue to grind ruthlessly.
Bazball has it’s moments but it can’t withstand sustained pressure.

Bazball is a myth.

It's absolutely nothing that the Australians weren't doing 20 years ago when they had guys like Hayden, Langer, Ponting, Gilchrist and Hussey in the top order. Hayden would routinely walk straight at the opposition quicks and club them to all parts. Gilchrist, when he retired held the Test record for most 6's in his career.

The Poms are trying to con everyone that they have invented a new way of playing cricket. They haven't. It's just an inferior version of what we perfected, carried out irresponsibly as they don't have the quality in place to pull it off.

We’d routinely come out and score 400 in day. The Poms have also just discovered this great new social media platform called Facebook also

England can maintain their delusion and say they had the bad luck and blame other things.

Australia need to continue to improve. I think some more attacking fields are warranted, and on the occasion we go defensive, no half trackers on the leg side to Stokes.

Murphy in I guess. Maybe Boland for Hazelwood.

Green needs to do some mindfulness training. I think his technique is fine but the temperament struggles at times.
I have big? on Green technically
