I don’t think so. From Riewoldts comments over the past 24 hours he knows the players are disappointed and he will just want to get out of there.
Yes CCJ is going by all accounts...but what for...possibly the best deal he can get to repay the RFC...we do not know yet...

Jack has 22 games left in his career

If the choice was between the 2, it’s clearly the wrong one

With Lynch's arrival it gave us 3 KPFs exactly 200cm tall. Its not ideal list management. Chol and CJ were in the firing line to sacked. Funnily enough CJ could well have been a premiership ruckman when Soldo went down late 2020. We used BAlta/Astbury.
Chol had a good year this year. Improved a bit. CJ wasn't bad either. But JR gets one year contracts from here on His career could go into the mid 300 games. And our fwd line is better balanced. Pick up some talented KPPs in the draft to replace ChoLCJ

The moment Richmond re-signed Jack Riewoldt, I thought this would happen.
I took the view this was inevitable. It was a choice between the two.
Remains to be seen if the choice is the right one.
Think T71 said he's gone early in the season.

It's just how the system works. All we can do is manage Toms opportunity & contract over the next 3 years.
They're also hardly comparable as Powell played more games in his first year then CCJ did in 4...

Dude Polec played more games at your club than Cj

Cj would have been a premiership player in 2020 had he not gone to the rippers and screwed up as well as played earlier this year not been suspended
Who care any way. just let him go psd no great loss.

only reason people here are disappointed is because he is a ungrateful F*** after the club looked after him with what he did
should have just sacked and delisted him after the kebabs

I still reckon CCJ has the upper hand here in this trade...prolly holding out for a decent trade pick to the Tigers from Norff...mainly because CCJ is aware of the grief he caused the Club with Kabbagate...in soft cap penalties/job losses...or I would like to think so...
Dont hold your breath Jack L

He has shown his character and and wouldnt give a flying F what Tigers get
selfish player. piss him off and dont even communicate

I would just delist him

LoL.
You can put a blanket over all the OOC players we have in any given year. But but because their KP it somehow more important to stagnate each one.I'd love to know how you manage that without exceeding the ave contract of 2yrs.
Goodluck.
List management, like coaching and playing, is ****ing easy from the couch.

So take me through that exit interview..? Jack, you’ve just finished third in the Coleman and kicked 50+ goals, and whilst we think we can contend in 2022 we are going to have to let you go.

Sometimes I think people live in a parallel universe.

McDonald , Bruce
McDonald has only kicked 8 goals in his last 10 games, Bruce did his knee in rnd 21 but had kicked 18 goals in his previous 10 games.

I'm just not seeing the KPF's of either team making a huge difference. Yes, Fritsch has been effective but more as that mid sized, mobile forward.
Maybe the forwards that both teams have just play a role where the oppo's defenders have to be more accountable eg; Schache and Allir.

Anyway, the point is that I don't see CCJ and Chol as being integral to the Tigers having success, even if we lose JR8 or Lynch or both.

That norf supporter's theory is ccj is leaving because the cotchins got treated differently for the covid breach :laughv1: it was the AFL that handed out the 10 game suspension bozo

fmd such dumb campaigners that supporter base , wish that club would just fold and **** off to tassie. Minnows

I don't blame him, with Jack continuing on, Nank and Soldo 1st/2nd ruck there is still no spot for him just yet and he needs AFL experience.
Difficult to tell how good he will become, he showed patches, and had that 1 great game, has shown he has mongrel at times, hope we get something decent for him.

With Chol and CCJ off the books how much does it give us?
Two-fifths of **** all.
Chol was on beer money and CCJ not much more.

I'd say going forward.

CCJ 300-350/yr, Chol wouldn't be much more than 250-300 you'd think. So say 550 a year. But then 2 players come in and take at least about 250 of that. So it frees up something like 300K, maybe 350K. That is about, or just below, the average AFL wage is freed up.

Quoting myself. What it does do is allow us to bring forward that 350K to next year and so free it up for future years. So say we're after Green next year we have the ability to go 100-150 more per year in our offer. Not much money, but maybe enough to do something that is very cool.
