I really hope he stays, in all honesty I cannot remember the last player I wanted to see stay this bad.

However, if he was to leave the worst possible club for him to nominate is North Melbourne. They have the first pick in the preseason draft, if we don’t agree to a deal he can walk there for absolutely nothing in the pre season draft.

As posted prev, I've got mail. The guy we are after from GC for CCJ is Fiorini.

Source is new so not water tight.

Personally I'm a little.concerned given injury history.

Make of it what it is I guess.

How? Pretty obvious I would've thought - a 5 year deal.

No way can he turn that down and no way should we match it.
Security, in 2 years he could be injured or fall by the wayside form wise and not get another AFL contract.
Now he’s getting twice the money per year for more than twice as long

edit I meant to quote the person you quoted

Can't blame CCJ. RFC look like idiots if that's the case
Wouldn’t say we look like idiots, our list is in a very different position and can’t really be looking at signing unproven players on that kind of money

North are just staring their rebuild with no big stars so they can afford to take more risks with a signing like the one being reported

CCJ is more proven than Caddy and Pickett

Tigers will want pick 20 at least I'd reckon and those campaigners wont cough it up and try and force him to the PSD

Both are paid more per year
Both have also earnt the money they are on through on field performances in the past

CCJ has talent but at the end of the day done nothing

Pickett never earned 500K a year and Caddy was never that good
Caddy’s 2017 and 2018 years were extremely good almost a grader good. sure his form hasn’t been great the last few years but that’s just the way things go sometimes

Pickett is a starting midfielder in his prime age and that’s the going rate for that kind of player

Pickett has never been a starting midfielder. He has always been part of a group, he has done some great cameos, is handy but never a solid ticked off guaranteed midfielder at AFL level

Caddy has never been near A grade

Caddy has never been near A grade
Caddy’s 2017 season was A grade for a medium forward

It was on AFL TONIGHT

If that’s true then it’s got to be up there as one of the most ridiculous contract offers in the history of the game.

Rory Laird is a two time All Australian that’s played 180 odd games.
Nick Vlastuin is a 170 plus gamer and has played in 3 premierships.

That’s the quality of player that gets 5 year deals.
