The implication is that the Jets stink, their coaching stinks... and clubs know this. The development there must be rubbish, because Eddie is the only player drafted in the main draft in the last 2 years from that program.... and he was the third last pick. Whenever he has played rep football with the other “elites” from this draft he has excelled, he tested really well at the combine, he is keen, committed, works hard in the gym.... has zero red flags, and has a great attitude.

If there's any element of truth, you'd think the AFL would step in re the coaching.

Over the last couple of months, i have watched heaps of highlight packages for supposed "top 20" draft pick candidates, and honestly, many of them were far less impressive than Eddie's, i know it is only a small sample size etc, etc but i really like the looks of this kid, probably an absolute bargain for #56, kick arse Eddie.

Eddie Ford (Pick 56): The forward-midfielder has plenty of x-factor and loves to win the contested ball. He has a great ceiling and is far from the finished product. Clubs will look at Ford and think there are plenty of elements to his game they can improve, after he was unable to get on the field this season. Ford ran a sub 20m sprint at the recent combine and has shown his clean hands on the inside during games.

Doubtful.
He is so good around goal, I’d like to think he could be a weapon there. Also his pressure acts in the fwd line will have defenders worried about where he is.

Thought exactly the same. Didn't know anything about him until after the draft. Strong mark, long kick, great size, ferocious in the tackle. Based on highlights/ his combine results he is a bit of a freak athlete with a high ceiling. Hopefully he is inviting the Dusty/Fyfe comparisons while Moobs Holland is spudding it up on the Gold Coast......
