At 189cm, has he grown over the year and I wonder if he'll continue to grow into that Jack Darling mould as a smaller KPF.
Grown 5-6cm this year.

Why did curtis taylor and larkey slide so far ? Or bianco last year . maybe its just one of those situations where no one knows yet what he can be

Curtis was in a freak draft, but I think accumulation and the fact we may have been a tweener hurt him. Larks I guess was just under developed kid.

I read in the AFL Prospectus that Bianco's contested ball numbers were horrendously low. Even the most outside players at AFL level like Brad Hill get 40% contested possession in juniors. Fun fact: Josh Williams holds the record low contested possession % for any player taken inside the top 50.

yep, that sure was a joke on us (or rather the previous administration)

People say he’s a Hollands and Perkins type. I say he’s a Corey Jones type

Always had cool looking tape on his wrists
We should not under estimate the impact of Brent. He came to us in May 1975 and was a key performer. Watch the bump on Hendrie and the resultant goal in Quarter 1 of the 1975 GF. Gave us more momentum after Johnnie Burns did his thing early. His role in the 77 GFs also. If I recall properly, there is a point in the replay where Peter Moore had a purple patch and could have made things tricky. Barassi sent the message out and the camera catches Brent running the length of the ground to the backline. End of Moore's influence. He was Barassi's go to man. Barassi coached 4 Premierships...Brent was in all of them. No coincidence. We missed his presence so much in the GF of 1978... a close run thing. He was injured in the 1978 Semi ( a broken arm I think.)

For the older generation

Geez I know we might be thinking of bringing in a mature pick to supplement our now very young squad however a 70 year old recruit might be pushing the limits here. Tiger's vertical leap probably ain't what it used to be.

Not much footage of '76 GF Bertie but if l remember rightly sitting near our race he ran out with a big bandage on his hammy.
Not good.

That 1stq goal in '75 was a thing of beauty.

A young Brent in 1970 with the locks. Wow. Such confidence. Different cat our Brent.

He was one of my favorite players when I first started supporting North/watching footy. He was a gun player. I was really upset when he went to Melbourne. I was only in grade four or five.:'(

Would've played full time mid this year at the Jets, could well have gone a lot higher if he got to improve his craft this year.

Has all intentions of being a tall explosive midfielder. Doesn't want to be pigeon holed as a half forward, as much as he loves kicking goals. Models his game on Nat Fyfe.

Curtis Taylor reminds me more of Corey Jones but can see it a bit.

If only going with North references, Eddie looks to play forward like Archer and I commented pre-draft although he doesn't play back, some of his movement reminds me of Firrito. Has the makings of a bullocking, long kicking half-back.

Kudos to the poster who related his kicking action to Fev. I can't unsee that now, it's very similar.
