Name Prestia's plenty elite attributes

Not a hope in hell Fog would be picked up by another side on this year's form, Gibbo would have hope based on his better output. Easy to play that game
Not playing any game. Fogs contracted. Gibbons isn't. I didn't even bring fog into it.

Prestia is a bnf winner in the best team in the comp at the time. He's an elite midfielder. I don't need to defend that stance

Good, finally getting to my original point, difference between OOC and contracted

Not interested in awards, just those so called elite attributes

I hope so. I just recall the multiple times he mentioned how amazed he was to be laying carpet one week and playing footy for a living the next. I sure hope it works out for him outside footy, or even better that he gets another crack at AFL somewhere.

Extroversion is but one of the 5 big personality traits. As I said, all in my imagination. Not suggesting this has occurred anywhere but there. I just have this idea that Gibbo wouldn't rub the right way with Diesel's vision for the team. If someone is 50-50 on talent, something like that might push it over the line.
could be useful on suns

I didnt mind him as a player... but a player that size needs to bring few more weapons and didnt run hard enough for mine.

Owies is a one trick pony but one thing he has up his sleeve is strong work ethic and determination to run to the right positions.

Honey is pretty good over head, has power and speed and finishes well. I can't see Gibbo playing ahead of these two.

Right decision was made for mine.
Didn’t run hard enough, don’t think you’ve got your facts correct there.

Lol what? Gibbons was one of our best runners. Go have a look at where his GPS numbers ranked amongst our team.

Surely if he was any good we would of played him there when we we're getting smashed in Centre clearences
You can blame Teague for playing Cripps, Walsh and Ed in almost every centre stoppage last year. No variety, no rotations, very predictable.

Gibbo goes bang.

One one hand he was even less chance of getting time in the midfield with the additions of Cerra and Hewett. On the other though, I always liked Gibbons and felt that good things always happened when he was around the ball. Kicked five goals in the first two games this year before his role changed when Betts came back. I would’ve liked to give him a chance with a new coach and new game plan.

Completely agree.

On a side note, when he first arrived back in 2019, Gibbons and also Kennedy were my two favourite players. Not Cripps, not Walsh, but Gibbo and Bam Bam.

And fair play to him for talking himself up in case there might be interest out there

Yeah, The Gibson sacking doesnt feel right.
I don’t understand the reaction (including his). He’s not in our midfield plans and nor should he be and he’s a very limited forward who won’t be played over Honey, Durdin ect. In years gone by we would have given him a contract, I think it’s great we are being a bit more ruthless.
Seems like a ripping bloke so will be missed, but that’s the business of footy.

Well his reaction is "they said they liked me for a midfield role, never played me in the midfield, then delisted me". Understandable. But then just because the recruiters liked him for the midfield that doesn't guarantee the coach will too, nor does it give him immunity from being repurposed to fit the needs of the team.

Would have liked him to show a little more class/gratitude, but he obviously feels a bit stiff and is just speaking his mind. Good luck to him.

probably tells us something about the state of communication and playing standards under the previous regime

Perfect example is Brayshaw for Melbourne.

I get that part but I get the impression he was mislead.

I also think he was ripped off considering he literally tore his hamstring for the club.

The reactions ridiculous. There aren't enough list spots to keep everyone. He's a low upside high floor type guy who makes way, happens all the time. Only other options for delisting considering contract status etc were Newnes and Ed and who is gonna choose Gibbo over either of them?

Maybe the attitudes one of the reasons he was cut over others.
