Surprised me that he was selected in what was a “dress rehearsal” squad . Would have thought 7-8 way closer to senior action

Injury sub maybe?Got mail that the kid is in the mix for R1.
Injury sub maybe?
Though would hope he'd get a proper debut rather than potentially sitting on the bench for the whole game
Broad has already pinched his nickname. Some Sonsies in Victoria are Italian. However, Sonsie as a word in wider English is Scottish from the Gaelic sonas, meaning healthy. It is used mainly these days in reciting the Address to a Haggis, by Robert Burns - "Fair fa' your honest, sonsie face, Great chieftain o' the pudding-race!"
However, it also can mean having a large bosom and pleasing female curves, that is, having a well-proportioned and pleasing shape.
Fair made for nicknames is Sonsie.
But trust me. This lad is very, very, very good. And in saying that, I've left a few veries out.
Would love to see Tyler debut on Thursday but at this stage it’s unlikely. He won’t be far away from getting a very early chance to debut though. This kid will tear the VFL a new one.
One other thing…
I don’t want to overhype this kid then what is already being spoken about. But I can tell you personally… that this kid actually gets better in wet weather footy…… that’s where the Jason Akermanis comparisons have come from. He is one of the very very rare footballers that actually somehow get cleaner in the wet.
Hopefully we can let him develop naturally and not get too OTT about him early, but I can tell you right now… how this kid wasn’t taken in the top 5 draft picks will be a question for a very long time.
He was rated at number 1 for a period and then injuries slowed his momentum. Came back and went head to head with Nick Daicos and won that battle. Copped another injury and came back and flew at VFL level.
His intra club match was just a glimpse of what Tyler can do.

Gil's ears pricked up with that one...close the roof at Marvel..it's tiger time!Great in the wet.
Dimma will hate playing at Marvel even more now.lol
Very Fat Ladies? Unorthodox training method, but it's worth a shot if it get's him into the seniors.Give the kid 6-8 weeks of laying VFL then the rest of the year in the seniors

If Hardwick is happy to allow Cotchin and Graham to play at just over 60% TOG then why not Sonsie? How's the kids tank?
He might actually find the pill tooIf Hardwick is happy to allow Cotchin and Graham to play at just over 60% TOG then why not Sonsie?
Might actually not give away 100m penalties too.He might actually find the pill too

I would say that the fact that he busted his shoulder early in the 2019 prelim v Geelong but came back on and tackled like a fully fit machine is why some consider him future captain material. Some wanted him captain

Pain tolerance does not equal captain material. The guy mentally needs to adapt.I would say that the fact that he busted his shoulder early in the 2019 prelim v Geelong but came back on and tackled like a fully fit machine is why some consider him future captain material.
Don’t mention the penalties that “didn’t happen “ ,,,have I mentioned 4G came from themPain tolerance does not equal captain material. The guy mentally needs to adapt.
The 100m penalty at that stage of the game was mentally and emotionally weak.

Would be good to see, but wonder if he is actually fit enough or if he would be a panic decision after how bad our midfield wasrumours are rife he is in the mix for this week.
