I like you’re thinking, I’d love to see us line ups couple of times throughout games with Kal on one wing and Howe on the other, two genuine 6’4 blokes running up and back could cause a serious mismatch.

The only knock I have on him from what I’ve seen is that he doesn’t impact marking contests enough. It’s a big issue for a KPD
He actually misses the ball completely - does he mistime his jump or have short arms.

Phillips still playing at Port in the VFL. Should be keeping a close eye on him for the MSD.

I know it's all Captain Hindsight now, but I was really surprised we didn't take him last year, knowing we are light on for KPDs with height. Nothing personal against Free, but I would have taken Phillips ahead of him. We already have 3 blokes who can play ruck, 2 of whom still have many years ahead of them. 4 if you count Edwards, although he hasn't shown much yet. We don't have 4 KPDs over 195cm who can play on tall forwards. Look at the caning we copped against the Dogs and all the height in their forward line, and that was with McKay playing, albeit hobbled.
