He doesn't need to be a superstar, the media and many others use the term star so loosely. Why does everybody have to be a superstar?
It's such a stupid comment, we don't need a team of superstars, we need a group of solid, reliable players who will compete week in week out, can handle the pressure when applied and who work well as a unit. The actual superstars like Sheezel, LDU, Wardlaw and Larkey will add the gravy.
As for Dawson, I thought he was pretty good in the games he played last season and has look very solid in the few VFL games I've watched this season, it would be remiss of Clarko/Ratten not to give him a run at some stage this season.
Three goals in the first half of a granny might change that.I don't think a guy who averages 8 touches a game would get anywhere close to being described as a superstar.

How would that make him a superstar?Three goals in the first half of a granny might change that.
Okay, if Ash Johnson kicks three in the first haf of the GF this year (lot of ifs there really) ... but if that happens how does it make him a supertstar? How would that make him a superstar?
He'd become a legend for the Pies but I personally don't consider every player who has a moment of greatness a superstar.Okay, if Ash Johnson kicks three in the first haf of the GF this year (lot of ifs there really) ... but if that happens how does it make him a supertstar?
Well provided the Pies win ... then watch and see.
A superstar is entirely a media creation. He'd become a legend for the Pies but I personally don't consider every player who has a moment of greatness a superstar.
Similar to that of Freeborn with North in 96.
Anyways I feel like I've derailed the thread, so hopefully Dawson is continuing his good form and getting a crack in the side soon after the bye.
The thought that was a super hero?A superstar is entirely a media creation.
Al doesn’t mind a decent apprenticeship at the lower levels. So maybe that’s the answer.Seems like they've put a fork in him as he's been quite good in the VFL and not getting a look in.
I don’t really get it to be honest.Seems like they've put a fork in him as he's been quite good in the VFL and not getting a look in.
Does my head inI don’t get why we don’t give him a chance - stop persisting with Ziebs and Corr
Dawson doesn't exist.I don’t get why we don’t give him a chance - stop persisting with Ziebs and Corr
You’d think with Logue out, Dawson must play -
So dirty, KC.Blaky Drury is named on the extended interchange bench for possibly his first game since Round 11 as a replacement for the injured Griffin Logue
If Dawson isn’t selected this week it means his done at NorthYou’d think with Logue out, Dawson must play -
I reckon his papers already stampedIf Dawson isn’t selected this week it means his done at North
