Rated pick 1 by us according to ep...which means it's true.

We had SPS rated at 2 or 3 that year and bid on Setters before selecting SPS so that sounds right for mine.

Club has been watching him very closely for a very long time.

Itll be a slower burn than what many want but in a few years he'll be in our bests most weeks IMO.

Watching him he just reminds me of Bont or Watson.

Absolutely stoked with this pick up.

Can someone confirm - did SOS say in an interview 1/2 days ago that Setterfield is already in training at the moment?

The ACL was done in February according to an AFL.com article. Would be great to have him up and running for the start of pre-season, if only for non-contact drills.

Wouldn't be surprised considering when Doc did his was around Jan and he was running around round 22.

@skinnylappin
Blues fans get excited. I coached against Setterfield in his 1st NEAFL game and he is a serious player, on the way back the Baggers.

I sure have. Im sure people couldnt believe i wanted him more than Shiel. But this kid i believe will be something amazing! F work... im going for beers to celebrate!
100% agree, has a lot more upside than Shiel.
Only thing that has held him back is his injuries. Let’s hope he can remain injury free and we’ve got a genuine talent which didn’t cost much.
Good luck Setters and welcome to the Blues.

Highlights vid shows he isn’t slow, but not overly quick yet very much has that trait that Bont, Watson and Mitchell had/has; when he has the ball, it seems he has all the time in the world with it and his evasiveness to get out of tricky situations is very, very good. Add that to the frame he has. Can play.
