This thread will be monitored actively for posters who drag down the quality of posting for all others, and they will have their access to the thread removed.

Specifically: reference to TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome) and its counterpart 'Trumpanzee' or anything similar will no longer be allowed. These are a conversational barrier and fall-back point for people to simply sling mud. That's unacceptable. Personal attacks are also to be kept to a minimum.

As always, please submit ideas for the thread title by tagging me! Winner announced when I get around to it.

So either Fauci is incompetent or Trump is just gaslighting as usual.

Here's the thing though - if Fauci is incompetent then get rid of him and replace him with someone who can get the pandemic under control FFS.
His excuse for having him around "he's a nice guy" - just reinforces what a gutless , useless Manager he is
BTW I don't think Fauci is the problem here...................it's just desperate Trump BS as usual.
Why would Trump get rid of him, he only hires the very best people remember?

Fauci has worked under 6 presidents
Outside those who work in the medical area of his expertise most people would not have heard of him in the usa and outside usa. The less you hear from a doctor like Fauci the better the world is

Biden's town hall is just a series of calm answers on actual policy questions.

Trump's town hall was basically an hour of "many people are saying that the Satanic pedophiles who could be running the Democratic party also may have tried to kill Seal Team 6."

I found her response to this question rather surprising as the answer is in the Constitution.

"if she believed the president has the unilateral authority to delay an election''

She waffled on about:
"that giving "off-the-cuff answers" would essentially make her a "legal pundit."
"If that question ever came before me, I would need to hear arguments from the litigants and read briefs and consult with my law clerks and talk to my colleagues and go through the opinion-writing process."

Surely the answer would be 'no'?
Sounds like wanting to appear to give a considered response. I will admit not detailed knowledge of USA constitution. If it explicitly states that to be the case then perhaps (speculation only) she is not a strict texturalist at all then.

Thanks for the tag .. not

Balls In, you did that thing where you just stopped responding to an argument when you were proven wrong again.

Want to tell us how Mexico paid $45 billion for the wall yet?
Hey Balls In, think you forgot to respond to this.

How did Mexico pay for the $45 billion wall?

You wont get an answer, I am still waiting for a couple to my questions.

Perhaps we can just post this after his posts?

What to watch over lunch - a replay of the town hall, or Hannity crying about it.

Decisions, decisions :tearsofjoy:

Well here is a surprise!

Microsoft and a team of companies and law enforcement groups have disabled — at least temporarily — one of the world’s largest hacking operations, an effort run by Russian-speaking cybercriminals that officials feared could disrupt the presidential election in three weeks.

But as soon as Microsoft began dismantling the operations last week, seeking to cripple a network of infected computers known as TrickBot that has been used to paralyze computer systems with ransomware attacks, it discovered that someone else was trying to do the same thing.

In a separate but parallel effort — which was apparently not coordinated with Microsoft — United States Cyber Command, the military cousin to the National Security Agency, had already started hacking TrickBot’s command and control servers around the world late last month, according to two government officials.

So far, TrickBot has not been directed at voting infrastructure, officials say. But it would be well suited to turn against the offices of the secretaries of state who certify tallies, vulnerable voter registration systems or electronic poll books, the records that allow people to vote.

“Just imagine that four to five precincts were hit with ransomware on Election Day,” said Tom Burt, the Microsoft executive overseeing the team that has been dismantling TrickBot.

Mr. Burt said he did not know for sure where the TrickBot operators were based beyond Eastern Europe. But they are Russian-speaking and have developed their tools into a sophisticated, profitable operation. They not only infect computers, but also catalog lists of infected computers and sell access to valuable systems to other cybercriminals looking to commit banking fraud or lock them up with ransomware.

The list of victims has expanded to include cities in Florida, courts and school districts in Georgia, The Los Angeles Times, the City of New Orleans and state agencies in Louisiana, and, in recent weeks, one of the largest medical cyberattacks in U.S. history after ransomware delivered through TrickBot hijacked more than 400 hospitals run by Universal Health Services.

Here is some more info that creates some doubt on the hard drive/Hunter Biden story.

What model macbook pro? Apple stopped using spinning drives between 2013-2015. Opting for flash storage. An organic board with memory modules on it. This board would have been damaged by the same water that damaged the laptop as a whole.

These boards are grown in labs, and are highly susceptible to liquid damage. This causes the material to break down, resulting in almost total data loss. Data recovery from flash memory costs thousands of dollars, is a painstakingly long and difficult specialized process.

The first image is the email "sent" to Hunter Biden and his partner. The second image is an email sent to me, from a test account to Mail on the mac. The third is a test on Outlook for mac. Note the <> surrounding the email address this to me is an easy fake.

While I am not a forensic expert, this was still very easy for me to spot, and for the @nypost to have published this story with such blatant disregard for the logic is an utter shame. Do what you will with the evidence I presented. Come at me all you want. This feels faked

More on the emails...

What caught my eye immediately was the tremendous clarity of the text, when compared to the “VP” gmail icon in the upper right-hand corner. Something appeared to be off, and upon further examination, it was. Look what happens when you zoom into the PDF file (see image below). The text in the file remains crystal clear, yet the gmail icon for “VP” gets extremely pixelated. Even in the un-zoomed version, the icon is blatantly pixelated.

FBI will sort this out won't it Mags?

Nigel was talking about the BBC.

And of newspapers, the Times is as credible as it gets. Do you really think the Post is a more reliable news source. I suppose you do since you're in the Trump camp. I don't follow CNN but I would trust them over Fox every day of the week. Heck I'd trust Bolt, Jones and Credlin put together over Fox every day of the week.

And once again there is no huge corruption scandal - not one that diminishes Biden anyway. The scandal is that major news services are making up $hit or misreporting foreign attempts to influence the US election as legitimate news, either to get readership or to try and discredit Biden. That's the scandal pal.

When Murdoch's own son dumps on the family concern for its 'duplicitous' behaviours, that's REAL NEWS!!!!

Post-2015 NYT is a different animal when it comes to US politics. It's sad, but they too have fallen victim to the new era of click bait journalism.
Um, no. Although this interview was years ago, they still fact check every piece.

You can question why they do run certain pieces.

But you can also reasonably conclude that if they don’t run a particular piece, it may be because it hasn’t stood up to their rigorous verification requirements.

Just because conspiracies do exist, doesn’t mean everything is a conspiracy.
