Again with the middle name. Absolutely no reason for this, except the obvious reason for this

Plenty of Republicans made a big deal about the middle name back in 2008, so it's not a Trump-exclusive thing, but it does feel like the world had generally moved on. A lot of people look back at that time and McCain as some more noble Republican Party, but the fact that McCain is venerated for interrupting a woman who called Obama an Arab to say "no, he's a decent family man" is telling.

Plenty of people of Middle Eastern heritage were offended though, especially when McCain was later held up as some paragon of decency from liberals. In reality, he was a creature of the Republican Party, which didn’t only just suddenly become racist.
