This thread is not about Covid, lockdowns, or vaccines. It is about Donald Trump. While Trump was in office during the pandemic and his response to Covid is relevant, there are pertinent threads for you to post your opinions on those things in.

It might also do with reminding a few that when you post on the SRP, you are responsible for backing up/verifying your claims to fact. What this means is that you will be asked time to time to support your claims with evidence, to ensure that this forum is as free of misinfomation as we can make it.

Ugh. I go to great lengths to avoid ever listening to Trump speaking or even watching. He makes me sick.

This morning I was strapped in the dentist chair having my teeth cleaned & like all dentists now there’s a TV on the roof & I get Trump in my face on ABC morning news.
Talk about lose lose situation.

It’s sickening and so depressing to contemplate this man being elected president again.

Howard Lutnick, the co-chair of Trump’s campaign, gave further credence to the weight Kennedy’s views might carry in a Trump administration when he told CNN that he could be given access to federal data on vaccines safety. He also appeared to endorse Kennedy’s opinions on the supposed risks of vaccines.

So terminating a foetus is never acceptable (even when it will not develop into a viable baby and/or the mother's life is at risk - in which case it will almost certainly not be able to develop into a viable baby since its carrier will be dead).

But living children being killed at schools is just a part of life that has to be accepted because people's right to unrestricted access to guns is more important.

And now they want to expose children to diseases that can be fatal or cause disability because one guy reckons he knows best (even though he is yet to see "the data").

I'm not so sure, there's been any number of Trump wannabes come out of the woodworks in the past eight years and none of them have been able to create anything outside a niche following. I don't pretend to understand why people have latched on to Donny but I suspect if he's defeated tomorrow (and I'm becoming a little more confident), the Republican Party will fracture and end up with less votes at the next election that if they had punted Trump earlier.
