Specifically: reference to TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome) and its counterpart 'Trumpanzee' or anything similar will no longer be allowed.

Personal attacks are also to be kept to a minimum.

Just a reminder, even if it hasn't come up for a few pages and y'all should know this stuff by now:

This thread is not about Covid, lockdowns, or vaccines. It is about Donald Trump. While Trump was in office during the pandemic and his response to Covid is relevant, there are pertinent threads for you to post your opinions on those things in.

It might also do with reminding a few that when you post on the SRP, you are responsible for backing up/verifying your claims to fact. What this means is that you will be asked time to time to support your claims with evidence, to ensure that this forum is as free of misinfomation as we can make it.

Do not post conspiracy theories on this forum. We have an entire other forum for that.

Thanks all.

As always, please submit ideas for the thread title by tagging Gethelred! Congrats to Nikita Blue for our new thread title!

As the great Rocky Balboa said It ain't over 'til it's over... but if The Donald does salute to the heavens..... it will be the biggest come back victory since Lleyton Hewitt against Roger Federer in the 2003 Davis Cup semi final.

He basically won it when the first assassination attempt failed.

He got incredible momentum from that very lucky escape

But the Dems did themselves no favours by nominating Biden again, what a disaster, eventually leaving them stuck with Harris or else lose Biden's campaign funding

Obama talking down to black men telling them to vote for Harris was the killer blow

I'm genuinely curious why you think this.

Trump has been convicted of 34 felonies relating to falsifying business records around hush money he paid to a woman he had an affair with, he's facing further charges over attempting to overthrow the results of an election, he's been found in court on the basis of probabilities to have sexually assaulted a woman. At any other time in history, any one of these issues would have disqualified him from running. The only way to not only think he should be allowed to run but is also the better option of the two is to a) not believe them to be true, which would require a deep dive down the conspiracy rabbit hole, or b) not care.

He was responsible for one of the most shambolic COVID responses, which left one million of his own citizens dead, the economy performed well under him at first but then tanked (now obviously COVID was a factor, but Biden's economic track record is also pretty good, having come out of cost of living factors that were likewise beyond his control), evidence shows Democrats have outperformed Republicans on the economy over the last 30 years, people claim he didn't start wars but as evidenced in this thread, he dropped significantly more drone bombs than Obama and made decisions that certainly exacerbated conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East (embassy in Jerusalum, for example).

He has described immigrants as animals, lied about them eating pets, referred to his own citizens as the enemy within, says he wants to utilise the army against people in his own country (it's interesting that Republicans clutch their pearls when they think Biden called all supporters garbage, even though he immediately clarified, while ignoring Trump's comments when he refuses to recant and often doubles down). He lies constantly, refuses to acknowledge he lost an election, has an insanely thin skin.

So again, I'm genuinely curious why you think he's the better option because from where I'm sitting, it's hard to find a reason beyond being conspiracy minded, misinformed, ideologically bound or in agreement with a lot of the shit I just posted above.

All of that and the American people still think he is the better choice.

Congrats Trump!

What a resounding victory for The Donald
The ultimate underdog "nobody" wanted him to win, yet he upset the establishment by winning!

So which celebs were leaving the states?

None that I know of (other than Kid Rock) but in 2016 a lot of the celebs that wanted a Clinton victory said they'd leave America if Trump got in.

In reality this thread should be entitled, not the decline of Trump, but the decline of US democracy.
Why did Trump win?
There are very good reasons, and they are all due to the policies of the Democrats, and their genocide enabling candidate Karmela Harris:

Doubt it. Most Americans couldn’t pick out the Middle East on a map.
More likely it was because DonOld told them they couldn’t afford bacon anymore.
