I seriously believe that the left/dems should be picking their battles re Trump more selectively. Ie not nitpicking on every little point-scoring opportunity against him. That tactic failed in 2016.

Those of us on the pro-Trump side have been totally desensitised to the outrage re Trump. When I hear fresh criticisms of him, my first instinct is to assume that said criticism is based on misinformation, or is at the very least twisted/exaggerated (just being honest). If it's something I actually care about or consider to be significant, I do some digging and try to find the facts. If not, I ignore it.

It's easy to write off Trump's base as "dumb rednecks who think everything is fake news". But maybe they've been given valid reason to think that way, to an extent.

What I'm trying to get at here is that I think "the left" (Dems, prominent anti-Trumpers on social media, etc) should ignore some of the pettier stuff, so that folks actually pay attention when something serious goes awry.

You get what nike is doing is creating the trickle down effect which has helped millions rise out of poverty in Asia and no one has had to sacrifice themselves to do it.
