And David Koch dead, a nice old omen.
David Koch dead and the Aussies doing well in the Ashes. Doesn't get much better than that. A repulsive, greedy man who has used his wealth to damage to the world and his country in so many ways. Good riddance. We are all richer than David Koch today. Feels good.

Shame the brother is still kicking.

It is becoming increasingly obvious that for Trump the best part of his presidency was before he was actually President - the night he won. He occasionally refers back to it when feeling under pressure or wistful.

For his supporters its the best bit too - remember how we beat Hillary with all her money and the MSM onside?

In terms of his actual agenda, they had actual hope in the first year when Bannon was in the room, before Trump sacked him because Ivanka and Jared were cut at what Bannon said about them.

Bannon was the one who provided the narrative that could keep it together, and the one who knew how Washington and the global system works, and thus how to fight it.

Now it is going the way of all Trump's businesses - down the gurgler.

He's been trapped by his own impetuous decisions on every front, and he's being played hard by everyone from the Chinese or the Iranians.

As I said earlier, looking more and more like he loses in a landslide.
nope, the clayton's bet is alive

So I wonder if this is called (winning) MR 45
China has announced tariff hikes on $75 billion ($111 billion) of US products.
China holds $1.11 trillion in U.S. Treasury securities.
What’s the chance the US just defaults?

“Sorry guys, we ain’t payin’ ya no more.”

More likely China stops buying their debt first.

How to fund trillion dollar deficits? Hmmm.

Sino's problem.

Mess was it Milton Friedman who said that about the 100k debt v 1trillion in outstanding T-Bill creditors #meds

medusala

Normal people don't use Milton Friedman's name in polite conversation, it isn't 1982 anymore.

Anyway, if the US defaults on its debt, the entire world has a major issue, not just China.

? Still not sure how it is relevant to this thread. Think the Dems poor strategy has been done to death. Hillary lost - the end.
But have they learned or will they double down on highlighting trumps lies and unpresidential behaviour, which appears to reinforce trump base into voting for him.

Think they may have learned, yet to be seen

If we go on the Trump supporters in this thread, think they are so deeply invested in him, nothing short of him shooting someone will change their mind and not even sure about that.

Would depend on who he shot probably...

I deplore the use of that word, not really clever nor amusing!
