I suggest it might not really be a hearing either if it’s conducted in secret. A Hearing by definition suggests something public, open, revealing and fair.

It seems this thing you call an inquiry / hearing thing is entirely indistinguishable from what is expected of the DNCs 2020 presidential election strategy committee.

And if so, how has this House of Representatives led by the DNC not abandoned its legislative responsibilities, by demeaning the House of Representatives to this scandal mongering electoral role - all within 12 months of the election. It is astonishing.

To continue these click bait, juvenile, scandalous and unprecedented methods, all that these DNC representatives have proven, ironically, is that they - not Trump - are thoroughly unfit for the offices they hold.

House Committees are provided with legal scope to undertake all matter of investigations in order to ensure that the Executive and Judicial branches are acting in accordance with the law. They are allowed to hold hearings in private for all manner of justifications, including issues of national security, if it damaged ongoing law enforcement operations or revealed the identities of people currently undertaking those operations, if the subject at hand was classified or confidential as a point of law, among others.

Once these Committees have finalised their investigation and if at that point it is clear that there is evidence of an impeachable offense, the House will vote on impeachment. If that vote is succesful, it will trigger an impeachment trial in the Senate. In that trial House lawyers would serve the role of prosecutors, White House lawyers would be defense counsel, Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts would act as judge and the Senators would serve as the jury. This would be a public trial, all the evidence will be presented, each side will have the opportunity to argue its case, and a decision will be made.

All of this is in accordance with the process of impeachment outlined in the US constitution.

What you are complaining about is akin to demanding that the police hold open interrogations of all suspects and witnesses and reveal all of their evidence publicly before getting to the point where they charge someone.

So... are you actually stupid or just pretending to be stupid?

Attacking this process as unfair is totally unjustifiable and shows how desperate Trump supporters are to try and talk about anything other than the substance of the allegations, because that evidence looks more and more damning by the day.
