Looks like hes set himself.

Gets first crack at the Key Back Posts with Balta for mine.

Miller can play as second ruck.

Miller and Kosi cannot both ne in the side if they are we are a monty for another bad season.

Blight with Balta and Fawcett/Faull with Tommy to learn the ropes.

No he can't. He's terrible there.

3 games from Blight & now training the house down ~ sounds like Miller lost his spot again. Like 22 & Gibcus , 23 & Young

Broad, Brown, plus 2 KPDs. Miller's good depth again.

Kosi won't be in the side either with new draftees. I reckon they give Kosi/Sims/Ryan back up ruck job. off the bench Very low time on ground. Kosi actually rucks OK

Blight's biggest issue is that he doesn't know how to compete body-on-body. At VFL level he plays loose and gets 100 intercept marks, which he can't get away with at AFL level.

If he can learn to defend in more contested situations we will have a player.

Don’t think this guy has the footy iq to make it. He was terrible against hawthorn, running to some stupid spots.

To be fair the hawks cut our defence to bits. Their midfield had too much time and were too precise with their kicks. Their forwards worked together to draw our defenders away and open their forward line. If you want to blame someone then look at the players that were allowing their opponents so much latitude that our defenders were made to look stupid

And also we had no-one running and making the play, everything was sideways.

im no genius but if teams want to play the precise chippity chip chipotle chippendale chipmunk game then just go man on man. in previous years weve had no plan b, its follow 'the process' for better or worse. guard space, hold your width.
hoping yze can actually coach against teams structures rather than just 'back in the system'.

Good old man on man footy...just like the old days of the VFL... :thumbsu:

Sitting behind the goals he was all over the place. Some terrible anticipation.

Very true, watching him play live he gives his opponent to much space and doesn’t man up.

I imagine that would have been encouraged in his WAFL days, and hard to change mid season.

Real insight will be has he learnt how to defend at AFL level during a full pre-season...

Time will tell, but one thing is clear, at least he appears to be giving himself every chance

He doesn't nee to be body on body as he reads the game and knows where to be that is why he didn't do much body on body. Afl is different and I'm sure he has the build to go one on one and the bonus of knowing where to be is a big advantage.
