Draft Steely as Green lands at Tigerland

Richmond has used its second selection (No. 55 overall) in the 2022 national draft to recruit South Fremantle midfielder/small defender Steely Green.

Particularly nice delivery into the forward line, tackles hard and doesn't shirk a contest

I imagine he'll be developed as a mid, not a defender

I like his kicking forward in particular. Technically looks good, great trajectory and piecing which should help our forward transition. Looks balanced when kicking as if its solid.

Our forwards will probably look to lead from his kicks with confidence

Nothing like him , inside work is razor sharp , lachie neale clone , prob bit quicker and tackles more . 25p on debut in seniors , had a 30p game too while capt of u18 state team is a fair rap sheet

Steely Dan the band was named after a strap on dildo from a book called Naked Lunch.

There were actually three, "Steely Dan 1-3 from Yokohama", two got shredded.

and ummm one of their hit songs is called Peg.

What was she thinking, yes a good band but the naming a child.

One thing I noticed was that as soon as he had offloaded the ball to a team mate, he was on his bike to either take the next ball or get to the next contest. Like the look of the kid. Always good to see a kid who had played against the bigger bodies of the seniors at the age.
