even if he does hell get a full game when graham goes down in the first quarter.
Smith has a lot of AFL attributes. Doesn't panic because he has the toe to get out of most situation. Doesn't have that manic pace of say Saad who only goes one pace, more a smooth mover who has acceleration. Very long and neat kick. Was in better form 4 weeks ago but good to see him finally getting a chance. Sub most likely, better than nothing.

For those not aware, Kaleb Smith was selected with one of the picks we got in the Hopper trade (Steely Green was the other). So I’m very keen for Smith to be a gun as it will forever shut up criticism of the Hopper deal.
He’s made a great start with his VFL form and looks really composed, so fingers crossed.

I agree, makes no sense at all. I get it when a star walks back in but not a role player at best.
reckon he has a fair say on when theyre apparently ready for seniors. if he advises the mc that he'd benefit from some reduced game time in the 2's I reckon they'd take heed. but nah, full steam ahead for jgti what could go wrong?
its ruining his career. no shame in taking a step back to go 2 forward. we keep throwing him into the seniors with no form or match conditioning and generally under done. he either immediately reinjures himself or has a shocker to no ones surprise.

Debuting players as a sub so their family can fly down to see like 10-20 minutes is a disgrace.
Sub them off if you need to but don't give them their first game unless you feel they are ready for a full one.

Wouldn't be surprised if Smith asks for a trade back to WA, what a disgrace that was, don't name debutants and then make them sit on the pine for 3 and a half quarters.
