Banks has a long way to go before declaring him deceased. You've got him, Ross, Jud Clarke, possibly Trezise all likely to be suited to playing wing depending what our game plan demands from our wingers. Campbell looks another likely candidate. I don't think our issues are in these areas like wings and flanks. We just need to locate a gun key forward and a gun inside mid with the ability to break away from traffic and do damage with the ball.

I think we’ve got some very good kids in the wings, but I don’t rate Banks as highly as others.
From what I’ve seen so far struggles to win his own ball, and has a long way to go to have the size to play at AFL level.

Kaleb Smith is in the frame to be Richmond’s fifth AFL debutant of the 2024 season following his fine form at VFL level.

Get him in this week. He has been really consistent at VFL level and couldn't do much worse than Short has been.

will be sub I reckon. Still good to see our young guys getting a run. Injuries have probably been a blessing as we needed to play these guys and see who can do what, but would never have happened without all the injuries and bonus is a top 2 pick most likely.

This is so true. We wouldn't have played all these guys under Dimma, and Yze wouldn't have gone the full on youth policy in his first year (not should he, but that's another discussion point). The injuries have allowed almost everyone to get a look in and it's probably just Bauer left to get a game this year and we would have played everyone likely to get a game atleast once. Apart from a few blow outs, we have been competitive at times while playing a largely inexperienced side.
