The vitriol you directed at us budding meteorologists who said there was a good chance we would only face 20 to 30 overs during the last two days!
There was a good chance you would end up right in the end but it was never over til it was over. The front looked like it could be missing the ground early tonight. Glad to be wrong

Nope, I am gloating. I am as bad a winner as the poms are bad losers.
The arrogant, disrespectful, hypocritical way they have carried on this series precludes them from any grace that is given to any normal cricket team.

Yep. I'd feel for just about any other opposition in this situation. Heck even India. Not England. They've carried on like hypocritical clowns all series. And they get smashed just about every test they play down here. F!ck them.

If it wasn't for the ECB pushing the Hundred competition this match wouldn't be so decisive. Because the schedule would overlap from the end of July through August. This would have been the second test in a normal schedule. In fact four years ago the first test of the 2019 Ashes was still one week away from starting.

The other side of that coin is that we wouldn't have played the first 2 tests in what was a record breaking June in terms of weather.

Umps meeting groundstaff surely just to confirm that cricket can't be played on a lake.

England's Ashes hopes flatlined about 4 hours ago, let's just call this one.
Ground staff probably telling them they can have the ground ready in 10 minutes after it stops raining.

So...the game would still be a draw?

Don't worry, I remained nervous. Especially when yesterday the rain surrounded Manchester in a circle for 3 hours without hitting it.

Today has been blessed relief.
