Lol obviously a lot closer than you did.

As i said people feeling the need to pump a reasonable game up and turn it into something it wasnt.
Lol so he was on ther bench for a minute not the rest of the quarter. As i said any excuse will do.

So GCS are giving him 600k a yr no wonder they are a rabble. Thank god he is off our hands, only remaining concern now is him s**tting his pants in another final and costing us a flag.
In fairness he never shit himself last time and I can recall him laying some pretty big and important tackles in the first half of the 2017 GF when the heat was really on.
I’m no Ellis fanboy far from it but there just seems to be no balance from the fors or againsts, but over exaggerated one way traffic from both.

This week Gold Coast must be scratching their heads as they watch GWS play off in a Grand Final

How did they end up on other ends of the ladder. What do they do or dont do that GC need to learn from

That GWS wouldnt pay so much and for so long to a player like Ellis would be one of the many reasons

Good on him for getting the big payout though.

oh yes he did just like he does in most games would hate to have been playing on him i reckon he would have stunk with fear.Maybe thats why no team ever bothers to play anyone on him.

Mate I have watched the GF many, many times. Didn’t happen in fact as I said he laid some crucial big tackles.

If he leaves I don't blame him. He has already achieved the ultimate football player dream by winning Premiership.
I mean, lets be honest, Gold Coast is our feeder club. We can't take everything and not give back.

Ditto only watched it two days ago again. He did a coupole of good things but it was a typcal ordinary soft game.It doesnt take guts to lay a tackle but it does take guts to stand there and cop it knowing one is coming.

Horrid player who should not be playing especially if he is leaving.

Leaving or not, they pick the best 22 to win the game. He's the best player we have for the role he's asked to play.

What makes Ellis seem "soft" is that his core strength is poor so he can get rag dolled around a bit. He's not actually soft. He's done plenty of things that require courage.

Why shouldn't he be playing if he is leaving? Why would you slot someone new in his role when he is perfectly capable of performing it himself?

Caracella is leaving and yet is involved in coaching. Have a look at NRL players who move at any time of the year. Just up stumps and move to a different club. No one bats an eyelid. Mind you they don't have a draft. And f** knows how much we all love that. Its like Christmas.

Well that is partly true, he is not particularly strong for such a well built guy, and yes he has stood his ground when he has needed to, and I have seen him not stand his ground when he needed to. But that has been covered to death. He is playing now and lets hope he has his best game ever.

Hmmm, I know what you're saying. But he also sometimes shirks contests or braces for contact when he doesn't need to.

Anyway, he's been a solid player for us, I'll back him in this Saturday

Leaving is irrelevant.
