Player Watch #5: Caleb Daniel - Welcome to North Melbourne - NM trade R2(25) for CD

My point was that footage doesn't make it a good or bad trade.

Separately of course trades need exonerating. If you're not improving your list through trading, why on earth are you trading?
I am pretty sure we would have traded him in for both his on field and off field stuff According to a few of the blokes that go to training regular the off field stuff has been really good. So that's a really good start just there i reckon.

Great get and quickly becoming my fav player is 'shorty'.

We need his level headiness in our back half.
One thing that I think a lot of the footy world have forgotten is not just how well he can kick it, but how well he kicks it on both sides of his body. He pulls the trigger equally which is hugely underrated - it just opens up the field on both sides and give us more options.

There's some good vision of it from the match-sim around on YT.

Caleb Daniel moved 6km down the road from the Whitten Oval to Arden St in the closing minutes of last year's Trade Period and appears to have a new lease on life, thriving in his natural habitat across half-back in his first appearance for North Melbourne, finding a stack of the ball in a polished display.

The Lone Ranger

Pretty close to our best I thought. He is clean with disposal - which we knew - but he is also very clean with his hands. Collected around 5 handballs that most of his other team mates would have made look like the shit disposals they were. Close to immaculate. Going to be a very good addition.

He was excellent. Defended and tackled well too!
