Glad he didn't get suspended. We need West Coast at full strength over the next two months so they're in the best possible shape to take down our rivals in the Top 8 - Carlton, St Kilda, Gold Coast, Freo and Geelong. I'd allow them to bring in Dean Cox, Chris Judd and Kark bloody Langdon if I thought it'd do them any good.

A relatively minor but nevertheless disturbing trend seems to be developing regarding the way Marlion Pickett is being officiated by umpires, but moreso by the MRO. We now have a full set of 3 incidents where Marlion has been penalised for lesser incidents than what he has suffered, where each time he was the victim the MRO ignores the act.
1. Bailey swinging arm tackle on Marlion connects fully to head, same passage of play Marlion swinging arm tackle to Starcevich free kick and 1 week from MRO. Commentary says Marlion ill disciplined for showing anger after being hit. No mention of Bailey being ill disciplined.
2. Butler pushes Marlion unprovoked, no free no MRO, Marlion pushes him back with roughly equal force, Butler goes down as if shot, free kick and MRO fine. Commentary is Marlion is undisciplined nobody questions Butler’s action in terms of ill discipline.
3. This time in separate games. Marlion hip first bump to Moore, contacts body first any head contact is after the body has absorbed most of the force, therefore no injury to Moore. Marlion get 1 week. Then wind forward a few weeks, Marlion cops a heavy bump straight to the head, knocks him over, tumbleweeds from the MRO…
What do they say? Once might be an accident, twice could be a coincidence, but three times? It is starting to look like a policy.
From recent bipartisan questioning responses to dodgy on and off field decisions (inc. Prestia, the Moore bump) gives some hope that this tide of crap will turn.

Ridiculous comment. One of the very few in our side who puts his body on the line and continually keeps his eyes on the ball running back with the flight. His contribution can’t be measured with pure stats.

Very rare that we see Kmac and him both have a blinder for the same game think it’s just one of those things where due to the nature of the wing role some guys you see a lot of it and others you don’t
But like Kmac what he adds to the team is massive and can be easy to undervalued when they aren’t setting the world of fire

Still can't believe Marlion copped a suspension for his shepherd on Moore (uninjured, played out the game, free kick at most) and Cripps poleaxes AhChee (Cripps jumps in the air, knocked out, subbed out, concussed, misses the next week) and gets off.
If it isn't corruption it's incompetence.

It's like the "ill-disciplined Nick Vlastuin", who oppo forwards are allowed to punch in the head any time he marks in front of them.
