Got an email boys!

Only problem is that I will miss out on some interest by taking some $$$ out of my main acct as I did not plan on using a grand from my savings acct on this. Another thing is that you need to turn over $1500. Well worth it though I think for a free $500 :D

This is a great promo...

You are mad not to have an account with as many of the online bookies as possible if you punt regularly. So many good promotions every other week, throughout the year. Not to mention most of them give you a free bet of some sort when you make your first deposit.

There is this from IASbet:

Double The Odds, Double Your Winnings
Place your first Flemington Win bet up to $100 on Derby Day, Saturday 30 October and we’ll double your winnings.*

Example 1: Back your horse at odds of $6.00 and if it wins, IASbet.com will pay you a dividend of $12.00
Example 2: Back your horse at odds of $1.50 and if it wins, IASbet.com will pay you a dividend of $3.00

Does the money go straight through. For example, if i put in 200 straight away, when i refresh will i have 300 in my account? Or does it come through like in a free bet?

Thanks for the heads up!! Basically free punting for Derby Day! A punters dream!

It goes straight in just as added funds. Took about 5 minutes for them to credit it to my account.

Depends on your deposit method I guess? I bpay'd, so it will be in tomorrow. Not sure about the free bet, but any time I have been eligible for a free bet, if it isn't there immediately I send them an email and by the end of that day they have always credited it to me, they are really good like that.

And it isn't free punting derby day, don't be fooled, that is the 'catch' and only way it can be worth doing for these guys. You still have your original stake to lose!

It is only really a good deal if you were having a punt anyways. If it entices you to punt more than you were already going to, or to punt when you weren't going to, game set match sportingbet (not in every case, but in enough of them to make the exercise worth while).

It basically is free punting though because whats stopping me from turning it over by putting half of my deposited amount on one team to win the toss in the cricket, and half on the other team to win the toss, then withdrawing the original amount and keeping the "free" money to bet with?

Would have to do that with different bookies though remember... Sportingbet will not allow you bet on both sides like that. You could do this though:

Australia to win the toss
$1500 @ 1.95 (sportingbet)

Sri Lanka to win the toss
$1500 @ 1.95 (sportsbet)

Outlay = $3000
Return = $2925

Overall Profit = 2925 - 2500
= $425

That's awesome - So You can get $3.20 So You think for $100 and $4.30 for Typhoon Tracy!

Yeh i see what you mean, i might just back myself and put it all on something paying 1.01! would hate to lose that bet though!!

They keep their original stake.

So that would only work for you if Sri Lanka won the toss.

If Australia won, the math would be:

Australia to win the toss
$1000 (yours) $500 (theirs) @ 1.95 (sportingbet)

Sri Lanka to win the toss
$1500 @ 1.95 (sportsbet)

Outlay = $2500 yours $500 theirs
Return = $2425 yours $500 back to them which = $75 loss to you.
