What was his rationale for criticising the decision?

If he thinks it's the wrong move list management wise, well I think he's wrong but you could at least mount an argument based on age or being past his best. A shit argument in my view, but whatever.

If his argument has anything to do with his suspension whatsoever, ring the station and tell Culbert to go forth and multiply.

Do it for the team, B4L. ;)

So confirms what we know- Culbert is a moron.

Crowley slipped up. He took a painkiller that was prohibited. Was it right that he was suspended? Yep. Was he doing it to gain any unfair advantage? Nah. He just stuffed up.

He's also served his penance.

Culbert is an oxygen thief and can **** off.

Great pick up! Crowls got such short shrift from so many opposition supporters for being one of AFL's villains, but you guys will quickly realise why he's such a favorite among Fremantle fans. Was really sad that his career at Freo ended the way it did, but I'm glad he's been given the chance to go out on his own terms. Top bloke, always game and gives time to the fans, and a hard worker that's clearly milked his career for all it's worth.

If he's given a run-with role, I will enjoy watching him shred Harvey and Ablett and Stagey J... But not on one of our mids, thanks!

See The Age having another dig at us with story on Crowley signing copping a bagging on Twitter. Age is really enjoying this.

Even quotes Ings who can't believe the signing. Gee i thought Crowley had served his time.

I seriously think they'll be violence amongst supporters at our games this season. Certainly hope not, but I think the hate and booing combined with heavy losses will see some clashes.

Congratulations Essendon folk. If you get nothing else you've signed a bloke who will give his all: enthusiasm, hard work, experience. He's a great bloke and not afraid to do the hard work and cop some flak to let other stars shine. Genuinely one of my top few dockers of all time and can only wish him the best with your lot. Did it the hard way and won a Doig medal on the way. Was apparently smashing it at Swan Districts as a player and coach.

Look forward to watching more of one of my favourites.

Actually, I reckon Crowley will get plenty of support when you play us. Im actually of the opinion you won't play him as a tagger I think he offers more. Crowley was a massive fan favourite at Freo for a long time. I go down to training when I can and Crowley was always truly awesome with supporters. Brings a ton of positive energy too. His nickname at the club was Smiley (funnily enough because he was always smiling). I hope he goes well and I think most Freo supporters do to.

I hope not. It is just a game after all. Rising from the ashes might be a more enjoyable experience than you might think at the moment.
 
I like Crowley and happy to see him playing again. will be interesting to see his effectiveness as a pure stopper if played that way. He has his deficiencies with ball in hand ( mostly the kick around the body to no one ) but give him a set shot in front of goal and he'll jail 9 out of 10.
wish him the best, and lord I hope he smashes boomer harvey one more time.

I'll clap Crowls every single time - he is annoying but he plays inside the rules.
