We saw a bit of the real high end quality he has.

The run down tackle pace. The goal on the run, trhe movement out of traffic.

He hasn't even started standing on blokes heads yet.

He's an elite goal kicking midfielder that's also a brutal defensive animal.
The full tilt pick up and pirouette on the FP boundary, then laser kick into a leading forward against Sydney COLA's was..

What The Wtf GIF

Id almost make it a team rule he’s not allowed to perform a run down tackle at 100% intensity

It was ****ing amazing live. Sitting just a bit further up on the wing from that pocket. I said it at the time and I’ll say it again, that was the best debut game I’ve ever seen. What a ****ing gun!

I do have some concerns about him defensively.

He's going to kill someone if he hits them at full throttle and they aren't ready. If you think an interrupted pre-season can hamper your progress, what can a 5-10 stretch do?

What about that play in his first game with the sliding pick up and turn on the boundary and the pass to Goldy in front of goal.

Yeah, only the very best have the mix of exquisite skill and brutal defensive edge and hunger.

He has the gift of intent.

Everything he does seems to be done with absolute intent. Win the ball, get the man, whatever.

It is like every thing is personal.

I am so glad he is ours.

You won the clearance and I didn't. I took that personally

He was my favorite non North player of the 90s.

Yep, him and Peter Matera I loved. I'll round out the trifecta with Dunstall.

He is very paul kelly like. Great comparison. What a ******* superstar PK was, one of my favourite oppo players to watch.
He was one of those players you always wished he wore our jumper because he was tough, fearless and that ****ing good. Shinboner personified.

If he can stay healthy we've won lotto.

Looking back he's the only one I'd have thought belonged in our 90s jumper. Other players were great but I loved how played his footy.two of the greatest players from the 90s both came from Waga Wagga Waggga.
