Mitchell the only certainty. Will be pissed if Stringer gets picked ahead of Gunston who has had 3 consecutive Stringer 2015-like years. Gibson should be rewarded with 4-5 years of high quality football. Cyril an outside chance with Betts a certainty and Wingards late season charge probably displacing him. Burgoyne unlikely and Lewis no chance.

Spot on. Because Stringer came on and has shown brilliance doesn't mean he should be selected ahead of a guy that's been doing it for 4 years and it's expected of him.

This is the thing that slightly annoys me about AA. The pick players that wouldn't get a game in our team and then ignore our players. We could quite possible have fewer AAs across 4 years of dominance than Geelong did in 2007 alone. Just doesn't feel right.

So maybe in fairness, Clarko would genuinely say that if you gave him Bob Murphy he'd dominate at Hawthorn. But ask 100 people if they would trade Stratton for Murphy. Strike rate surely zero?

Gunston is a victim of his role at Hawthorn. Spends too much time floating up the wing and across the back line as part of his role and it costs him goals up forward which is one of the strongest currencies when it comes to AA forward selection criteria.

On the Geelong board they were saying just yesterday if he didn't have an elite midfield at his disposal he'd be a 20 goal a year forward and is nothing special at all (never mind the 19 he got in 12 games at Adelaide as a youngster with a weaker midfield).

Just like when people said he will struggle after Franklin left, only plays well because he's on the 3rd defender lol... It seems all our players are overrated, makes you wonder how we are 2 wins off a 3peat ?
