Cant really judge him this year. Hes been pretty much our sole target up forward, and will benefit immensely in 2017 with other marking targets like Hooker & Bellchambers to chop him out

Fair enough we have a VFL team on the park each week but one thing I can and will blame him for is his goal kicking.
He kicks the ball on the sweet spot more often than not but it's the ball drop that's messing it up. He's been here for 3-4 years and he should've got this sorted 2 years ago. Change your grip, lower the height at which you drop it, just do anything to fix it!

Of this club having a shit fwd line.

Every other team is capable of developing a fwd line why is it so hard for Essendon?
Maybe we should get you down there to sort stuff out. Maybe next time you see him talking to his uncle Terry or Matty Lloyd or even his Dad who was one of the best left foot kicks the club has had, you should step in.

So embarrassing today, didn't lead jogged to the open space before there ready to kick to him n then stays put in the hot zone wanting them to kick on his head n jus let 2nd n 3rd defender jump over the top. If u take a still picture he's in perfect position to lead n then perfect position 10 seconds later in the marking zone but it's the in between, there's no doubling back, leads/jogs to early. Complete laziness. Only hope for him is if we get the cleaner to turn him upside down n use him as a mop with that hair. Useless 200cm prospect. Watch Hurley tapes when he was a forward at least showed urgency on the lead

No they're not. Plenty of teams struggle with it, including the one we played today.

The sky is falling routine isn't needed in every thread.

Keep working hard
Essendon key forward Joe Daniher needs to continue to work hard to improve his form, says coach John Worsfold.

Daniher had three behinds in the first half before eventually snapping his only goal early in the fourth term of the Dons' 15-point loss to Carlton.

It brings his tally to 7.11 for the season.

However, the Bombers’ primary target, is ranked fourth in the competition for contested marks per game and ninth for marks inside 50 per match, suggesting that the Bombers have a potent weapon on their hands if he can convert his chances.

"He's struggling a bit at the moment, but it's not through lack of effort. If he keeps that effort up, he'll come out of this little patch a much stronger and better footballer," Worsfold said after the 15-point loss to Carlton.

"It will happen for him. Not through hoping, but through continuing to work hard.

"We thought his work rate was a lot better today, but there were a couple of shots at goal (that were disappointing).

"That's his job now – he's got to nail them."

Daniher had probably the best game of his season in Essendon's round two win against Melbourne. He took 15 marks that day, but and finished with 2.4 on the scoreboard.

Currently he is the easiest key forward in the AFL to play against..
Engage him early in a marking contest and he is gone..
Sad to watch...

That's a bit harsh... What about Grimley?

All Daniher needs is

a) To get a free run at the footy
b) To have better service and delivery from the midfield
c) For the umpires to pay attention to how he is being infringed
d) Another forward to partner up with him and take the pressure off
e) Weather conditions suiting a key forward
f) To kick straight
g) Presumably the correct planetary alignment

and he could be quite potent.

Joe is going fine. Delivery to him has been horrible.
The delivery is part his fault, N.Riewoldt delivery has been shocking last few yrs n still dominates n puts in. Daniher gets sucked in n gets to close to the ball carriers. If he stays 15m back from his normal ways he can lead or if it's a high kick he's gunna get a run up n take hangers all day. 50 games is enough time to understand depth of the ground n if it's the case of his direct opponent moving toward the ball that's his fault for being a follower, use his knees in marking contest if this the case n let them walk out of a game knowing that they played on him n he can cause pain if they play in front

The guy is very good. He's had a few match winning performances already and kicked 4 in a final. He's struggling but we're certainly not helping him with shit delivery and no one to take the pressure off him. The constant handballing in a circle also ****s up his leading patterns because he's not quite there yet with knowing when to run and where.

You're comparing Nick Riewoldt - an absolute champion Hall of Fame CHF - to Joe Daniher who has played about 50 games and has 3 defenders hanging off him half the time. Totally unfair.
