given most of our team cant play under pressure or hit targets i think it's pretty important

Most of our team aren't first rounders.

I liked that Michael Ablett last night mentioned that along with the good skills of Clark’s he also has that aggression.

Mentioned something along the lines of seeing Clark being given a late bump after he’d kicked the ball, getting up and running back there to get into the guy.

Now obviously we don’t want him giving free kicks away for getting into players but at least we know he isn’t going to take a backward step and in finals that is so important, our team needs more of it.

Of the 'pure' mids left I'm not sure who else the cats could have taken. Jye caldwell was no chance to be there at pick 15.

Hately I think is the one the cats wanted , but that's because they thought Clark would be gone!

The guy will be a jet - reminds me of Docherty !

The next Selwood will come in the drat years ahead !
I like the docherty comparison, even a little bit of dash and dare similar to David King back in the 90’s.

I would have too.
Perhaps even packaged those two picks for a crack at the top 10 with #12 still to come; 10 & 12 would've been a reasonable 1-2.
12, 20 & 22 would have gone some way to replenishing the list, but you're obviously not getting much of a look at the elite prospects.

As predicted by alot of posters those two picks - 20 and 22 have ended up as 24 and 26. There was no way that any team would be swapping 10 for 24 and 26. I believe that WC asked a lot of clubs and no-one was interested because they all knew that the Academy and Next Generation bids would push 20 and 22 further out.

Hate?... I dont think anyone hates it...but Id have preferred to start the real rebuild ... and although he looks nippy and full of run etc.. I dont see him being a replacement option for the midfield and we have Ablett ..and Selwood... and then Danger not far behind .. and it seem every year you can find a HBF as a FA or a cheaper trade.
The kid look good , he will be a good add to our list but i dont see him helping us fill our main areas of need. One can only hope that with his wheels ..CS allows him to take the brakes off.

Clark was a FWD/MID through juniors, it’s not out of the question that the club views him as a MID.

Edit:

Clark, a hard-running defender who has been touted as a future midfielder, said he was thrilled to be heading to the Cats.

“We think Jordan’s got an opportunity to develop into a midfielder as well,” Wells said.

Nothing wrong with fog... Some people have such high expectations and expect these player to just be AFL ready...It's pretty rare they are...
Fog was afl ready last year. He just doesnt have a high ceiling due to poor skills and athleticism. It was a weird choice for a first round draft pick.

He wasn't a first round pick.

I'm looking forward to today. Wells isn't going to sit around until pick 50.

He won’t be cause our picks in the 50’s have moved into the mid 40’s now :D

Give it a rest. He clearly has groin soreness issues. Even now he has been on light duties on first week of pre-season because of it. Something which has hindered him.
