If he polls the most votes in the brownlow and is ineligible then it's going to be a travesty.
AFL really needs to change the ineligibility criteria. What gets you a week in 2023 is so much different to 20 years ago, let alone 100 years ago. Zach made a technique mistake. He isn’t a cheat.

Gee that milestone snuck up. Adds to the look forward to going to GMHBA Saturday night. Last time, probably Tim Watson kicking goals from the Belmont end pockets. The milestone definitely puts value into the $195 ticket that somehow was available.

Wonder how many of the top 10 - 20 in the count will be ineligible this year, seems to be a lot of the big midfielders were getting pinged for a while there.

nuffy talk inbound but i feel like any of the "brownlow favourites" of each year get fines over suspensions, no real evidence beyond me being mad that zac gets a cheap suspension when he's in great form

i do get a bit of a sense that maybe the mro avoids suspending players who are talked up as brownlow fancies (unless it’s something glaringly obvious like straight up throwing punches) because of the drama it could cause after the count, but this is based entirely on the ~vibe~

it's heavily vibes based but like, how many "stars" get away with shit other players don't

I'd say even if he retired tomorrow, he'd be the club's best player since Hird/Lloyd/Fletcher.

Jobe was the best in the league for a year, but Zach's been the club's best/second best for about 7 years.

He'll be an all time club great.

Plenty of time to sing his praises throughout the week because he is a genuine, modern day great of the club and the 4th Creighton he is going to win will raise him up to sit with Watson and Madden but good lord the 2013 Sandringham Dragons side he came out of is the most stacked thing I've ever seen.

Merrett
Josh Kelly
Salem
Maynard
Ed and Tom Langdon
Angus Brayshaw
Amon

plus Freeman who could have been anything plus James Munro, Will Hayes, Le Grice and Will Fordham who have been high quality VFL players for a long period of time.

The 2007 Swans colts team was decent
