Yes very true.....and one of the comments was written by a person who worked at the WTC......hope he survived.
Yes very true.
It appears he did considering his last post was around 10 years ago.

That's pretty crazy.
Can we please keep the conspiracy theories for the conspiracy board. There is plenty of discussion to be had on the topic there if you want it.
This thread is a record of what happened on that fateful day.
Last year, this thread got moved to the conspiracy board and was locked almost immediately. Thankfully it was restored to it's rightful place.
You want crazy? On March 4, 2001 the 'pilot' episode of X-Files spinoff The Lone Gunmen aired. The plot concerned a section of the U.S Government who, eager for a new enemy to emerge ever since the Cold War ended, remotely hijacks a jet liner and attempts to crash it into the World Trade Centre, thereby inducing a state of perpetual warfare.
This is the episode.
Writer Frank Spotnitz would later state "We were really upset, and worried that somehow we had inspired the plot. But we were relieved to discover that the plot pre-dated The Lone Gunmen, and that 9/11 had nothing to do with our work. And then once we realized that, my next thought was how the government hadn't known about this plot. There have been a lot of conspiracy theories about the connection between 9/11 and The Lone Gunman, but none of them are true..."
They(USAF) actually have remotely piloted commercial passenger aircraft in testing. The testing involved remotely flying them into mock buildings made of reinforced concrete.
Where have we been talking about conspiracies?
Ok, I succumb to the interrogation.
Maybe I should of said hinting at conspiracies.
Please forgive me.

Bully got the long overdue bloodied nose, and then reacted exactly as you'd expect them to. I almost got a bloodied nose on the day for suggesting this.
I suppose it's touchy because there were a lot of innocent civilians on those flights, and ordinary office workers at the towers. And I know the argument logically extends to a question of "Well how much 'collateral damage' (their word) has the United States caused in all its wars and interventions and police actions and all the other euphemisms they can invent for military action?" and it's a fair point.
But still... people got touchy. And I understood that as well.
If I could think of all the worst places you could possibly be (besides New York) when you hear the news of 9/11, being in the middle of an international flight would easily be number 1. Must've been an incredibly stressful experience.I was on an international flight when this happened. In flight entertainment had just started to roll out at that time, and delayed coverage showed the planes hitting; It looked surreal, like a movie. With the worldwide terror alert that followed, my families' first overseas trip was shrouded by anxiety.
