Finally finding some consitency? Just over the last couple of weeks i have been impressed with him. Turning into Judd more which would be unbelievable for the club. I hope we offer him a huge contract next time its up. If we lose him, there goes our future.

Its almost like someone has told him he can have a shot from 50 - we all know he can kick them so give him his head.

Spot on. Judd is a freak & anyone who thinks Wells is, or will be, as good as Judd is severely deluded. Wells has become critical to our success - if he has a good quarter, we have a good quarter, but he still goes missing for extended periods which worries me a touch.
He also needs to improve his kicking for goal on the run - a lot of his kicks are a bit skewif.

I have seen an improvement in Daniels strength this year and I expect him to keep on improving in this area.

People associate Judd with the flashy stuff, but they forget he always ranks among the league leaders in hard ball gets, contested possessions and tackles every season.

He is the complete midfielder.

Added to the other points raised, I reckon the biggest difference between the two is their confidence levels. Basically, Judd is an arrogant footballer (in the best possible way).

He breaks from a pack and looks over his shoulder and laughs at blokes. He knows how good he is. He knows he is basically untouchable. Wellsy is just as quick, just as talented and his vision is probably better but he doesn't have that supreme confidence in himself.

There isn't much Daniel can't do on a footy field, but I reckon what's between his ears will hold him back from being a genuine champion. But, like anything in a 21yo footballer, it can be worked on and turned around. I think there has been a change there in the past month or so.

Judd is a stupidly good footballer, and there will be a shiitload of players who will lose out in comparison. All of them, probably.
