By and large, I've agreed with Buckleys list management decisions. (Though like most, I've enjoyed their lack of success). But the Mayne and Wells ones are crazy.

Question to the more learned. Cloke is apparently on a tiny contract at the Bulldogs, does the back end of his Pies contract still go into their cap? I would have thought so?

Him and the club have agreed to terminate his contract, cloke forfieted his final year 400k, salary to sign a new contract for 500k over 2 years with the dogs this has released his money from salary cap which is really all collingwood wanted.

me too, but then It took a while for me to accept as truth why Wells ended up with us.

Someone in footy media told me at the start that it was their impression the club would be surprised if he left - basically sounded like an assumption starting fresh would take more energy than he was likely to want to rouse. Talking about his emotional links at North is a nicer way of putting it.

This might work in our favour. A previous poster statues that compensation would be assessed on the list as at the date of LODGEMENT. We want Wells in the highest pay bracket, so Cloke's contract being out of the mix may help us.
