95% of the time in the midfield but will rest forward along like those other 3 blokes Ryder, Watson and Zaka, could be scary forwardline if we have
Hurley, Daniher, Carmeri with stints from the 4 players above.

I'd have Winderlich or a potential next captain as Vice-captain before Goddard

I dont think Goddard would want to be Vice-Captain anyway.

My favourite part is 'I've been exposed to altitude rooms at my previous club'

The club that shall not be named. Love it.

Will never forget watching him kick four or five in a quarter once when he was plonked down forward. With him resting in the forward line, we're probably a two to three goal better side on average straight away.

I don't care if he's the saviour as long as he's the panacea.

if there's anyone on here who believes hurley or zaka should be vice captain over goddard, please kindly leave. i mean come on

You can lead without being a named leader. Think fletcher.
I wouldn't be unhappyif he was named, but I'd personally like to see zaka and Hurley share vice captaincy.
And would be very much for Myers as a part of the leadership group as well.

Just think of the influence the most recent big fish have made on their new teams: Ablett (granted he carries a team of kids) and Judd (needs strapping on his shoulders because their permanently sore from carrying Carlton). Goddard to accelerate the improvement of our young with the leadership. Hurry up 2013!

I just watched BJ's interview on the Bombers website and the main thing that came across to me was just how greater scope he has.
Obviously he is an experienced player and a known leader, but the way he spoke indicates to me that he didnt jump ship in the hunt for a flag. I would not be surprised if he has long term goals to be a coach and see's the opportunity to move to a different club where he is expected to lead on and off the field and develop younger players as a good stepping stone to to achieving that.

Another note, I've always thought of him as a hard nut but I suspected he was a little simple in the mind (from a few brain fades in footy), but going on the interview where he spoke very clearly, pronounced and obviously knew exactly what he needed to say indicated that he is in fact a very intelligent bloke.
